Muss ihr haben!
Wie man an der Sprache bereits erkennt (komme ich aus Deutschland) aber hey dennoch würde ich gerne mehr Theater aus London und aller Welt schauen. Hier kann ich ganz bequem ohne um die Welt zu fliegen tolles Handwerk, großartige KünstlerInnen und zauberhaftes Theater sehen. Die beste App die ich je gefunden haben, sollten mehr Theater so machen.

Nothing more needs to be said about the quality of the acting, plays and production values which are all 5 stars and, in case you are wondering, the majority of what is available was not streamed on youTube. All initial technical problems long since resolved.

Great theater! App works well.
Very pleased that National Theatre has found a model for distributing archived productions to a broad public during the pandemic, and since we’re a long way from the UK, online access is wonderful. It’s a good selection of stage productions. We wouldn’t mind having just a bit more lighter entertainment ... it’s not that we don’t appreciate the more serious, gripping productions, but often in the evening we’re more up for something like “One Man, Two Guvnors” than, say, “Yerma.” The app interfaces well with our AppleTV, so that’s great. Obviously not the same as being there live, but at least we can view the productions on a healthy-sized screen.

The quality of the feedback is OK same as youTube but ... ... quality over Airplay is juddery, not acceptable. I can also comfirm chromecast is not available from the ios version. If you want more of what was on offer this year from the National on youTube you should not hesitate.
Doesn’t work with Chromecast!

So many great shows to watch. Great picture quality and great value. Although maybe longer than 3 days viewing time would be nice.
OMG legal ecstasy
I feel as if I’ve died and gone to heaven. There are so many world class productions that if we’re not for The National making them available to watch online, the world would have been a darker place. I’m having to drip feed a play day for fear that I would become vitamin D deficient. Yes it is not as good as going to the theatre but it’s a close second. As the bard said: ‘All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women are merely watching National Theatre Home’.
