Sadly pathetic app from a fine institution
This app lacks the usual conventions allowing user to skip ads (for the NT) and only has a segment fast forward/back—which is set up so one never knows where one is. What happened to 30 secs forward and 15 secs back? This is particularly problematic when there are no subtitles! Why are there no subtitles?! I can’t be more disappointed. Canceled.
theatre at home indeed!!
it is incredible to be able to watch some of the most amazing theatre and some of the worst all in one place. making theatre accessible to everyone is so important. as an artist it a tremendous learning experience to be able to watch masters at work. masters can miss the mark too and it’s just as valuable as triumphs. thankful that the library is ever changing yet some of my absolute favorites are still available even with new shows being added.
Bringing the Theatre to Life 2024
Absolutely fantastic idea National Theatre at Home is. Creating a catalogue available on any device of great plays and stories that are often hard to see due to location and timing of live theatre. This is brilliant! Thank you so much!

This app allows me to explore contemporary creative theater productions and excellent classic productions with performances by masterful actors. As a theatre teacher from a rural area in the US, I have access to some really inspiring productions that my students and I would not have otherwise.

I cannot find a clear description of National Theater Home
Which plays does an annual subscription include? I want to watch PrimacFace with Jody Comer, Fleabag, and more that do not appear when I search your library. Where can I find a listing of your library availabilities?
Helps Me Get My Theatre Fix!
I love The National Theatre At Home streaming service! I live in the US and wouldn’t be able to see most of these productions without this app. The price is great too for all of the content it gives you access to! Overall, I’m a big fan.
Essential if you love great theater
I’ve been going to the theater for more than a half century, and a substantial percentage of the greatest productions I’ve seen have originated at the National. What a treat to revisit so many of them for so little, and to know that I’m helping the National in the process.
My saviour during lockdown
I’m a regular visitor at the national theatre. This app was a life saver. Although I miss live theatre this is a wonderful replacement especially when I’m travelling. I also get to see plays that missed for one reason or another. Please keep it going. Thank you for this wonderful app.
