next best thing
The only thing better than NT at Home is being right there, in the building and all those theatre spaces, lobbies, bookstall, everything. Living in Toronto makes a daily or even a weekly drop-by impossible, but with NT at Home I really do feel connected - and a plus is the capacity to enjoy repeat viewings. Yes, it isn't the same as sitting in a hall with people all there for the same or similar reasons, and no, there is no buzz generated as the curtain time approaches, but it's far, far. better for me than having to surf various paltforms hoping to find even one programme to watch.

Amazing!!
As an expat I miss miss a number of things from Blighty, theatre being one of the big things. I liked going to see NTLive at a local cinema, it was as if you were at the theatre itself. I couldn’t see how an app could compete. Then you watch a couple and realise that the performances and the writing and the production, not forgetting the care that goes into the recording of the play, are the real magic and whilst I would still go to the theatre if I possibly could, the NT app definitely fills a gap! Thanks *so* much!
Outstanding Theatre at home…in Canada!
I never thought I’d enjoy theatre on the screen but the productions are superb and the filming is like having a front row seat. Enjoying this so much - to have the best theatre in the world in my own living room 3,000 miles from London.
