Neverwinter Nights Reviews
Trip down memory lane
Love the game and the fact that it is possible to play the old community mods as well. Good adaptation to iOS and playing on a new iPad Pro makes it a great experience.
The current version has an annoying bug making it frustrating to play my favourite class (Rogue) since some traps aren’t highlighted. Doors and objects work fine but floor traps are invisible. OC is Ok despite that, but some of the DLC becomes really frustrating to play. A fix is apparently on the way and it would make the game close to perfect
Great!
Very Nice ensamhet edition of a great rpg. The original campaign is so-so. The true experiance is the communitymade modules and persistent worlds! I liked the gritty low magic server Adventures in Narfell
Magical Weapon auras not showing right animation
Good game
No iPad update, but they did a pc update.
About 6 months ago the pc version got a huge update, but not the iOS version. I played this on the pc as it came out when I was younger but bought it on iOS so I can play again on a touch screen. Would be nice if the devs updated this version too, like the pc version. Especially since they resold us (which I bought again) all of the premium modules we already paid for or the original developers had given away for free.
Good but unstable
Overall pretty good, fun to play. Brings back memories.
Quite a few problems though, some of which were in the original too, like pathing of characters can be pretty bad at times and enemies can get trapped behind open doors, making them hard to attack. If too many bodies/enemies around, can be hard to impossible to direct attacks/looting. Some UI issues (like some map points not showing their labels when tapped, some buttons like Pause being so small they're easily missed, causing you to walk to where you mis-tapped). After playing a while, phone heats up a lot and sounds start dropping out. But the worst is the freezing - sometimes after only 20 min, sometimes after an hour, but happens maybe a third of my play sessions.
Great game but crashes a lot
Great game but crashes a lot when you play any audio but neverwinter nights audio. So that means no apple music playing in background. There is no longer cross-save anymore. You can only transfers saves from ios to pc. But not vice versa. Not compatible with all override mods on neverwinter vault.
need chinese language
this is a very nice game but we need chinese language please
Neverwinter Nights is THE BEST!
I have been playing this game for four years & sometimes I’ll get bored of it a go to other games, but I always eventually come back to it. You will not be disappointed. This game is the BEST!
Cannot finish original campaign
The port is fine and plays much like the PC version did 20 years ago. I have no issue with the gameplay in general until I reach the end of the original campaign. The statues at Morag are all immune to all damage types except negative, magic, and holy, none of which can I get on my rogue. It’s a shame, otherwise a good game.
Good game but frustrating settings for mouse and keyboard
The mouse function on IPad doesn’t actually work and just operates as a touch input. It has the options in the settings for it but they are not functional. Other games allow for this so I know its possible.
Touch controls in a game like this are really frustrating when it comes to combat and navigation. Please fix this issue.
