Your notes available anywhere, anytime

Document scanner in your phone
- Scan documents, pictures, handwritten notes;
- Auto-define document borders;

Powerful search
- Nimbus Note can search through not only text but also images;
- Search for text in docs/xls/html/ppt and pdf files;
- The unique search snippets will let you see the required text fragment without opening the note itself;
- You can find entire words as well as word fragments (for example, the search will find "conscious" in "consciousness");
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Nimbus Note Reviews

How a serious note app should be

csoc-au on

Working on an academic role I have the need to collect and catalogue huge amounts of unstructured data. I have tried many different applications to enable this task. Until now the best choice was DEVONThink. But as that application is designed primarily for the Apple ecosystem I have been searching far and wide for a suitable replacement that would not only work on Windows as well as Mac, but had the depth of features I had come to appreciate in DEVONThink. Well, finally I found it in the form of Nimbus. This app is powerful, flexible and easy to use. Some of its features, like web based sharing, are miles ahead of any competitor. I’m in the process of migrating my thousands of documents from DEVONThink and really enjoying using a tool that lets me get my knowledge under control without the need for complex interface or commands. Well done Nimbus!

Great app for taking notes and finding them later

The app keeps getting better and this iOS version is excellent for scanning in documents, adding notes by hand, or using voice to text. The subscription price is pretty reasonable too.

Impressed so far. And it’s intuitive.

Might be five stars once I master the behaviours of the different ways to share an external link. I got a shock thinking I’d shared a note, which is possible, but had actually shared a whole notebook. The iOS app works well. I’d just like to see a tad more visual style about it. But the Nimbus environment is feeling more go ahead than the development path of the well known environment I’ve been in.

So far so good

Always launching new features and quick to fix bugs

Lost my notes

BenSheahan on

I started out loving the features of Nimbus (alerts on notes, lots of keyboard shortcuts, nested folders and easy navigation), but its instability wrecked it in the end. - Sometimes the content of one note would appear in other notes - You can't drag notes into another folder until sync finishes - The sync is unreliable, I lost contents of many, many notes - There's no spellcheck when writing on iPhone - Limited ways to export notes Disappointed, I moved all my notes out manually so I didn’t have to use this any more.

Great features, just needs refinements

A great alternative to Evernote with better features, but it still needs some refinements to improve the user experience. The developers are responsive to bug fix requests, which is great.

Just superb

Best notes app I have used- great templates

Great Product

I have found Nimbus to be not only a better app overall than Evernote but very well designed and not a cheap copy. It stands alone on its performance and features. Yes, I happily moved from the bloated and ridiculously expensive and over rated overpriced Evernote. What's not to like with Nimbus? Congratulations on a great app.
