I love this app so much. The controls allow you to edit quickly using intuitive controls. However, please enable 4K at 60fps for the iPhone SE 2020. It is currently capped at 4K30fps and I usually prefer recording in 60fps. Other than that, this app is perfect.

I love the simplicity of Nizo, minimalist interface, beautiful filter. I wish the filter can he applied in post but other than that I enjoy it.

Nizo is an amazing filmmaking tool to carry in your pocket. The interface feels like magic. The app is a unique all-in-one that masterfully combines shooting and editing. As you shoot, each clip adds to the last to create a digital filmstrip. You become immersed with your filmstrip, everything is gestural and fluid. By zooming in and out of your film it’s possible to trim, rearrange and playback quickly. The camera design is clean allowing for focus on your subject. The simple combination of ISO and Shutter control is superb. It’s fast to dart back and fourth between editor and camera to try another shot. You’re always in creative control, the tool flows with you. An interface breakthrough like this takes courage, to break from conventional thinking. I commend the creators, it’s a near flawless design. The app has attracted talented artists I’ve never come across before. I love the curated creative films, these young artists are incredible. It’s exciting to see a showcase of today’s filmmaking avant-garde. It’s rare to connect with creative software. Nizo is a diamond in the rough, I wish to thank the creators and look forward to what’s next.

Best video app I’ve ever used. You don’t need to deal with magical settings and buttons all over the screen. It just gets out of the way and gets to the core and lets your own creativity and imagination be the star of the show. In minutes you can have a small film edited with soundtrackbready to go. I won’t use anything else for video anymore

Overall I have enjoyed the app I like the filters I like the design of the interface. I have some issues with the frame rates. It would be nice to have at 1080p 60 frames per second because the iPhone X I’m using is capable of that but only in the default camera app or other apps. My goal is to shoot 60 frames per second for a project that I have. So I opted for the 4K at 60 frames per second setting in the app. But the playback on those clips that I recorded are in slow motion. Maybe they can be sped up in post but I still want to use the app to do the editing as the functionality for quick editing is pretty enjoyable.

Powerful enough for the indie filmmaker, and also simple enough for the rest of us. Nizo is not a Swiss Army knife packed with compromised features, it‘s a creative scalpel.

This is a nice little app but here are some current frustrations / suggestions for future updates 1. Pressing the phone volume up/down buttons should start/stop video recording just like in the native iOS video app. It blows my mind that you released a video app without this functionality. 2. The filter preset names are obscure and make no sense whatsoever, if they’re modeled after real film, add some description or more descriptive filter names. 3. Some of the short films included in the app as inspiration, contain titles and text... however this functionality is missing from the app. Kindly implement this feature or if you won’t implement it, don’t show videos inside the app that are impossible to create with the app. 4. There seems to be a bug with auto brightness adjustment while shooting video. On a cloudy day overcast day, when shooting video with the native iOS photo app, pointing the camera from the ground up to the overcast sky adjusts the brightness automatically, so the highlights in the clouds don’t get blown out. Doing the same in the NIZO app, is horrible. Pointing the phone at the white sky on an overcast day completely blows out the highlights and I need to manually tap the screen to trigger the brightness adjustment. The native camera app can do this automatically, who can’t NIZO? 5. I want to be able to import video into the app so I can use the filters inside the app on video I shot in the native camera app. 6. I want to be able to shoot video at 60 frames per second, or at the very least 30 frames a second, however this functionality seems to be missing at the moment. That’s all the suggestions for now. Other than that, it’s a nice little app, thanks for making it!

Awesome quality? Perfect frame rate settings to keep the quality crisp and in full motion. One thing would be amazing to export videos individually and not as one
