NJ TRANSIT Mobile App Reviews
Verification NEVER works
Third time dealing with this nonsense. The verification code NEVER works, so you can’t verify your email during a login / password reset.
This time I had an issue on the train too. I got stuck with no ticket, and was unable to get a new one because I couldn’t log in.
The conductor was kind enough to tell me to try the website, and of course the website ticket buttons also…do NOT work. You can’t press them down to select a location.
To add insult to injury, the app won’t even allow you to add a second email, rather continually telling you to verify the first email.
It’s really sad the company can’t spend like $1000 to get a decent programmer to fix this, instead of losing business from people like me who are forced to consider the bus now.
Track info should be available.
Unless I’m mistaken, there is no place to see what track your train will be on. I take the train to NY every day at Newark Broad St. on track 2. I was running late today but made it one minute before the train was scheduled to arrive, only to find out it was on track 1 today. Now I’m late to work and my entire schedule is messed up. Pls fix. I understand that it’s hectic at Penn Station, but come on…
awful app somehow worse than PATH’s
looking for a night out in nyc? well look no further for transportation there with the njtransit app! it’s got everything (that will stop you dead in transit) — the slowest connectivity despite your phone’s 5g, zero (0) notifications about even the most basic service outage leaving you stranded at a train station, a requirement to activate your ticket even when you don’t have service, a horrible UI that REFUSES to tell you what bus line to take, occasionally taking your payment without giving you a ticket. if all that sounds disappointing, keep in mind that fares have gone up yet again despite no improvement to train performance nor frequency increases!
transit app without a map??
Totally useless to a person new to the area. It's not that it doesn't show where the bus is _now_ on the map, it doesn't show any map, it doesn't show bus route maps, the trip planner doesn't show any map - whar the heck???
This must be the only transit trip planing app in the world that does not show a map.
SHOW ME A FREAKING MAP!!!

Does not tell you what train line to take
After you buy your ticket it gives you no information on what trains to take. It just says NYP to 17. What is that? So I had to look at the schedule. More cryptic info like MNBN. I did not see those 4 letters anywhere in the train station. Please hire UX designers!
Expired tickets.
I’m still waiting for NJT to credit my account.
My money got taken but I didn’t receive a ticket
I attempted to make a purchase of a train ticket and when I made the purchase, I didn’t get any tickets but my money was charged. I’m thinking of taking legal action against NJT because of the fact that this is classified as false advertisement.
Automatic Ticket Expire
A wonder way to auto expire tickets.
Thanks - feel free to adjust rate at any time.
All around lousy
Moved from LI and spend time in NJ. Started taking NJ Transit trains 4-times, 3-major issues. Zero comparison to LIRR. LIRR blows NJ away in every aspect—
• cleanliness
•on-time
• less disruptions
NJT blames Amtrak, Amtrak blames NJT and no one does anything about it. Haaarrrible experiences. Would rather sit in traffic and drive
