NordLocker Cloud Storage Space

It’s not possible to upload mutiple items or a whole map (eg photo album). You have to upload file per file. Making it a very user unfriendly cloud storage.

I have been using Nordlocker for about some less then a year now, im very satisfied with it. Its very straightforward and easy to use and i love that they have a zero-knowledge policy. Altough at the moment of this writing it is missing some simple features like a search option to look for a specific file or missing image previews without having to open every photo to see what is what if you dont name it. Giving that this app is only launched a year ago i expect that in the close future this can only become beter. If they add the 2 features i mentioned then its definitely earn there 5 stars. Keep it going Nordlocker team.

Having hundreds of pictures, it is not possible to have a preview on the icons, so you have to open all your pictures to find the one you want to open. Useless app

It has a nice design but missing basic things like selecting a file and moving it into another folder and the thumb nails don’t always load even after viewing a pic/vid

There have been some improvements. Can now have thumbnails so you don’t have to open everything. Still want a way to move things around folders from the app.

I uploaded data files keeping strict account of passwords. Some files indicated a link with KDP. Now my KDP account has a Norge bank as my payment account. To much coincidence! Also all my passwords don’t work anymore. Be careful!

I love Nord as a overall company (great VPN) and I trust that Nordlocker keeps my data secure. That being said, this mobile app has such an enormous lack of functionality that I am considering using another service (despite already paying for a year of NordLocker) - I'm very unsatisfied. Some of the functionality would be reasonably easy to program, and couldn't possibly compromise security. The mobile app functionality requests I've thought of are as follows: Existing things that require improvement: -Previews/thumbnails - This was just implemented a couple months ago, but still doesn’t work correctly. They said you have to open the picture and the thumbnail will load. The problem is when I re-open the app after a few days, the thumbnail is gone again. Also, this is *only for photos*. Need video functionality (and docs too, why not). -Ability to rename files - You can rename files, but it’s difficult to find -Have more functionality buttons on the bottom of the screen as opposed to the top - Nowadays, with phones growing larger and larger (and larger) it is increasingly challenging/inconvenient to have the buttons on the top of the screen. Please make an effort to bring the buttons toward the bottom. Non-existent and EASY functionalities: -Ability to use landscape mode - If there's a landscape photo or video in my NordLocker, there is no ability to see it in landscape mode. This is very easy to program on an app-developer level. -Ability to swipe between files (left and right) - it's VERY inconvenient to have to exit out of a file (TWICE) and have to go all the way into another file every. single. time. -Dark mode - Please give the ability to use dark mode. Many customers entire devices and all their apps are in dark mode. Opening this and using it is comparatively blinding. -Ability to store offline/local so I don’t have to download every single time - This is the only functionality I’m suggesting that might have a security concern. Would still be very nice to have. All-in-all, abysmal one star rating for now. Will update if improvements are made.

Recently switched from Android to Apple and was already using Nord Locker before. It’s good for Android and desktop but very bad for photos on iPhone. When you open a previously existing folder in Nord Locker on iPhone, all of your files appear as generic files. There is no preview or sense of what picture is inside each file. This means that I have no way of distinguishing between the thousands of pictures from my Android unless I open each file individually. Since opening a file from Nord Locker takes ~5 seconds (bc of encryption), this essentially means all of my pictures are lost in a sea of generic files that I cannot individually identify. You also cannot scroll through the files once you have opened one of them, unlike on Android. If preview was available for all photos making them identifiable rather than all being generic files until being opened, this review would be minimum 4 stars. Nord Locker’s customer support has been very responsive and helpful since I started using the platform on Android and desktop, but when it comes to this issue, they haven’t been able to fix it.

This app stopped working on the iPhone about a year ago at this point and it still hasn’t been fixed. I can’t open the app.

They have recently decided to no longer support on device encryption and are forcing you to throw all of your files online when it’s a lot easier to hack into your account online than it is to physically access your computer before you can access those files which means you got a physically enter my home compared to anywhere online. I also received some phantom charges on my credit card and asked them why I was given another two years and they said that I did that but then there’s another charge and I have everything set up to not automatically renew. I’m going to have to call the credit card company tomorrow and tell them to restrict any more charges towards this company and I’m going to challenge the previous charges. I’m in through December 2028 now and I never signed on for more than one year. I feel like I’m being scammed. These people can’t be trusted. I’m done for life. Backstabbed and done 😤
