Notion FAQ
Is Notion free?
Yes, Notion is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Notion legit?
⚠️ The Notion app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I love notion but the calendar app lacks essential features. No search function?! If you know you booked an appointment but can’t remember when it is there’s no way of finding it. No monthly or yearly overview…
There are things that are great with the app too, like shareable time slots which people can book. That makes it 3 stars. But as a calendar app it’s subpar.
It's a bit laggy
When scrolling on the day view, I feel as if it is a bit laggy and jittery. I would like to be more fluid and feel more like apple's calendar app. I prefer this app to apple's, but apple's is a bit more fluid.
Buggy as heckkk
If not for the notion sync, I wouldnt be using this. No monthly view, no ipad version, can’t drag stuff across properly in three day view. Slow as heck syncing and took me several times deleting the notion database again and again for it to work
No monthly review
Not having monthly review makes this app absolute horrible to use, both checking your schedule or trying to book something. And from the looks of old reviews this have been missing from start and probably won’t be something these devs will put in. It’s like the people who developed this app haven’t used a calendar in their life.
Lack of features
No montly or yearly view, no list view (calender + tasks), no task lists, no integration for anything except Google calendar (at least via mobile app). Thus, totally useless. The only good thing this app has is the Notion integration. Until then, Readdle Calendar is a million times better.
Impractical layout
I use Notion for everything!
Notion Calendar has awesome functionality but absolutely terrible UI. I don’t get the utility of the three-day view. Look to Calendars by Readdle for UI inspiration.
Surprisingly bad sync with Notion itself - Apple to blame?
Opening the Notion Calendar, I see the list of events from yesterday, still active even though they were closed off and should have been removed from that since the night before.
Waiting a minute to see if Notion Calendar has synced. But no.
Tapping one of the events, then tapping the Open in Notion button, and then going back to the Calendar. Then it is synchronized.
I guess this is some limitation imposed by Apple, is it?
Only support Google as provider
Waiting for iCloud, Outlook. Without them it’s useless.
Alright, but….
Only support for Google Calendar?!
Huge potential, missing ipad app
Love this new feature in Notion, but would love to see an ipad app, thanks!
