Enjoying the new app!
I love the new all-in-one app! Thanks for adding the speed control. I was having issues with the app remembering the playback location, but that seems to be better now. Now waiting for my local NPR station to add NPR+, so I can get access.
Spam site
This site is paid for with USA taxes, but you can’t see it without making an account and signing on to get spammed later. Defund NPR.

Please bring the old app back. It was so much more user-centric.
How to Favorite a Podcast
For the life of me, I cannot find any way to mark a podcast as Favorite or to Follow, on iPhone or iPad. The developer response is to look for the Plus sign. The problem is, the Plus sign appears for all podcasts except for the following: Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Weekend Edition Saturday, and Weekend Edition Sunday. Maybe the first two are auto-favorited, but the weekend ones are not. I’ve had to go fishing for them.
Worse then previous app
To put stories on your play list now requires more clicks. It’s cumbersome and annoying. Also it just stops working occasionally. New and worse rather than new and improved.
Deleting the app
I don’t want to listen to news- I wanted to read about them, but now I’m unable to.
Love my NPR
I live in Florida but listen to Michigan Radio. I’m spending 4 months in Montana so I’m using this app to listen to Michigan Radio’s Morning Edition. It works very well, and gives me options of listening to other stories as well.
Impossible to use
I love NPR but this new app is awful. Busy, confusing and hard to use. The autoplay that you can’t turn off is especially annoying. Please bring back the old app.
Now with more ads
O, how the mighty have fallen. Once upon a time, one could listen to an entire NPR program, such as Morning Edition or All Things Considered, in one giant ad-free playlist. Now, between every other story is an unskippable ad. Once upon a time, one could listen to the NPR hourly news report, JUST THE ONE 5-MINUTE REPORT. Now that 5-min report is sandwiched between “sponsored” messages and once it’s over, a totally uninvited playlist of random stuff begins to play. I don’t want to hear stories or programs from yesterday played endlessly without my permission with ads for some scam every 5 minutes. The original NPR app was better. This NPR One app is worse in every conceivable way. Do better, stop making it worse.
