NY Collect N Win

I seldom write reviews but the scanning function in this app makes it totally useless. The website version is MUCH better.

I downloaded this app 2 weeks ago. Scanned all my tickets and now I can’t open it. I even rebooted my cell. Anyone know what’s going on ??

Tried on 2 different phones. Please fix.

App ticket scan works sometimes other times it doesn’t. App used to allow voice to fill in ticket number (when scan was inoperable) now it doesn’t. Very inconsistent and annoying. I also don’t like to have to signin every time…why can’t it keep a customer signed in like other apps I use. Just a poorly designed and frustrating experience.

App is great when scanning scratch tickets, horrible when scanning draw tickets. It worked for a while, but now it never EVER scans draw tickets. Fix your scanner please. I’m sick of entering the ticket number in for every draw ticket I enter.

It’s a fun concept. Absolutely terrible execution. I scanned 100 tickets and they all came up as “invalid ticket”. Basically NY States way of f—-ing people over. Like they always do 🙄

App needs updated BADLY!!!!! The app has looked the same, and no changes in a number of years. Trying to scan draw tickets the scanner never scanned usually like the scanners in the store to scan tickets. They don’t work. They also need updated badly because those machines are years and years and years old. With this app, always have to type the number of the ticket in manually. As much money as the New York lottery, makes do a little bit better and make the app a little more fun exciting instead of silent. Other states lottery apps, make exciting noises when you have won some and well scanning. Also, EVERY-TIME I close out the app, It logs me out, snd i have re-log bag in with my email and password.

This app could really be amazing but the there are two major problems. There are way too many bugged out glitches and by glitches I am referring to how long it takes to load up and the scanner is crappy. Also where is the cash or the plethora of free plays. If there were free plays that would be equivalent to cash. And I don’t mean quick pick free play either. I mean allow me to choose which free play and what game I’d like to play that free play in. Now that would drive an over abundance to this app and to play more lotto games.

This app doesn’t work very well. If you try to scan your draw ticket forget about it! It doesn’t work unless you have a lot time and support team will tell you that your camera, the device, the lighting or anything else is wrong except their app. Support team won’t even try to fix their issue.

This isn’t a standalone app, it’s just a buggier, worse version of the clunky Collect ‘n Win website. Users should not have to log in to an app every time they use it, or they should at least have the option to use facial scan to log in. I’ve seen other states with significantly better user experiences for similar apps; it’s a shame NY can’t keep up with the times.
