It’s irritating having a secondary app which I have to use. I wanted to find an exact episode of this American life and I absolutely couldn’t find it. Having the second all is annoying enough, but at least link it from the other app (I.e. Spotify, etc)
Hello, my experience with the app has been seamless, except there is no offline mode, which is strange given that we can download content. That being said, I can listen to my downloads if I open the app while connected, and it keeps working if I lose connection. Still, it’s annoying that I can’t use the app if I open it while not connected, even though the content I want to listen to is already downloaded. Hope you can do something about this! Thanks!

I'm a subscriber from Germany to the NYT and I have to admit that AI & Hard Fork is 90% of what I'm interested in. I'm not a power user, I follow only a few topics only. The NYT audio app runs these topics really reliable, is easy to use and also runs very well with apple car play, where other apps often frustrate me in the complexity of their menu. Keep it simpler to not overarchitect it with tons of features in future, I'm here for the content.
The app won’t launch without internet, so the download function is useless
In the past I had to go searching for podcast or articles and it was always a mixture of hits and misses. The recommendations I was made in other apps was so mindless I never could rely on it but I love about this app that the recommendations are a hit every time! It gives me access to so many good quality pieces and shows, no only from the NYT. I discovered some of my now favorite podcasts this way. I would 100% recommend it.
I don’t get it. You suddenly cut the best audio-narrated articles in the word by killing Audm. Where are the articles from the NYorker, LRB, NYRB, etc? That made Audm great. But now it’s just the NYTimes. Are you ever gonna stop trying to be the Apple of news? Because it ain’t working.
Great way to discover new audio content. Had most of the NYT Podcasts in my usual app already, but somehow it’s more fun to discover and listen to it in the new app. Thanks for the great work you do.
Although you can download to listen off-line, the app can’t launch off-line. Which sort of defeats the point of downloading….
I don’t have a lot of time to listen to stories, which is part of my impatience with Podcasts. I would like the journalist to get to the point and be efficient with the story. My impression is that to mich of the the information shared in the stories is not relevant or worth my time to listen to. I would also like to be able to listen to New York Times stories inan audio format since my only free time is when I’m commuting.
