Greedy company

|Antonella| on

Uruguay

I’ve been playing for a long time, but I just uninstalled after learning they put the mini crossword behind a paywall. The whole point of the mini was that you had to pay to get the full one. I just can’t understand the greed of this companies, they ruin everything.

Beware.

I am addicted to the crosswords and the wordle and the connections.

Hard to type

Mister Witch on

United States

I don’t know why the keyboard input is so weird and off from a standard keyboard, but this app is constantly typing the wrong letter in Wordle and hitting letters on Strands that I haven’t even touched. It’s weird and it’s been like this for over a year.

Puzzles worth subscribing to

RadioJeff on

The puzzles are reliable and have the right variety of easy to hard across days and puzzles. Strands and Connections are good and worthy additions. The addition of dark mode for almost all puzzles was long overdue for those of us who play at night. Just add dark mode for Sodoku, please, and this will be a 5-star app.

I wish there was a way to clear puzzles from the splash screen. Because at my house it’s a race between my kids and I to do the puzzles first. I know NYT wants additional subscribers, but I’m not getting a second subscription for my kids at home.

Wordle bugs

settsu on

United States

The bug in Wordle where quickly tapping an adjacent letter retypes the previous letter gets old. Also annoying is the occasional tap registering as a scroll, then having to wait or subsequent taps also scroll (why is the Wordle UI even scrollable when everything fits??) Still disappointed that they paywalled more games and features.

Issues opening games

Mommangel3 on

United States

I tried reaching out for support, I updated the app…sadly, often when I go to open some or all of the games in the app the little loading icon just spins and spins. I’ll clear the app and try again, often multiple times and no games. This has happened on multiple days for a few weeks now. Super disappointing.

My favorite new pastime

I hate because you Can only play wordle one time a day. And I love wordle and I want to play it more than once a day.
