Harmful for OCD!!
This app encourages you to replace bad thoughts with good ones, completely ignoring the fact that ERP is the way to go with OCD. This is extremely basic level regular CBT, which has been shown to worsen OCD. It might be more useful for the other topics in the app, such as body image and confidence, but the app is called OCD app, so that’s what people are downloading it for. Also, it really does just tell you to tell yourself that thoughts are just thoughts and repeat basic affirmations to yourself like “I reject negative thinking….” Nothing you haven’t tried before!!! NOT worth it!!!
