===============================
Adventure calls... but you don't always have time to spend hours optimizing your character sheet or managing your inventory! One Deck Dungeon lets you jump right in to bashing down doors, rolling dice, and squashing baddies with style. Get a full roguelike game experience, boiled down to its essence, and captured in a single deck of cards and a handful of dice!
One Deck Dungeon is a dungeon crawling adventure game for one or two players. Each time you play, choose one or two of these 6 brave heroes:
• Mage - There's rarely a problem in the dungeon she can't solve with a spell.
• Warrior - Her favorite dungeon activity is squashing her opponents immediately.
• Rogue - Watch in awe as she dispatches monsters with style.
• Archer - Accurate, brilliant, catastrophically deadly.
• Paladin - She seeks out danger and shields her allies from deadly enemies.
• Mist - This breach mage has crossed over from the world of Aeon's End to help defend Mynerva. Learn more at AeonsEndDigital.com!
After every game, your heroes make progress toward unlocking up to 15 new talents, building up their power for future games.
There are 5 dangerous challenges to face:
• Dragon’s Cave - The thick-skinned wyvern who occupies this dungeon prefers her heroes on the crispy side.
• Yeti’s Cavern- If you can survive the freezing winds and biting cold, an abominable snowman awaits.
• Hydra’s Reef - Chop off one head, and another appears! This regenerating venomous monstrosity is a slippery foe.
• Lich’s Tomb - Hordes of undead foes, evil curses, and magical wards. What could possibly go wrong?
• Minotaur’s Maze - Abandon all hope, ye who enter here!
More content is available via In App Purchase:
The Forest of Shadows expansion doubles the content in the game. It features adventures in all-new lush yet deadly locales. A vast network of mossy underground tunnels and connected forest areas await your heroes!
• 5 new heroes - Alchemist, Druid, Hunter, Slayer, & Warden
• 5 new dungeons - Lair of Indrax, The Mudlands, Realm of Venom, Smoldering Ruins, & The Vile Roots
• A complete new 44-card encounter deck
• Additional progression focuses, basic skills, potions, & more!
The Abyssal Depths expansion adds a new kind of threat: Fiends who hound you throughout your entire quest to reach the boss. It includes 6 different Fiends, each with two levels of difficulty. Plus, 2 new aquatic heroes join the fight in the murky waters!
Individual expansion cards:
• Caliana - This faerie has decided that dungeoneering looks fun! Don't let her get bored...
• Fanatic - A righteous Sentinel is here to smite evil wherever it may lurk!
• Witch - Her chaotic magic hammer is ready to smash glooping oozes into glooping puddles!
• Cinder Plains - The Hellhound awaits those reckless enough to venture here...
• Phoenix's Den - Only the bravest heroes can handle the heat!
Once you know your way around the dungeon, a game takes about 15 minutes. It might take a little longer if you're learning, or a lot shorter if you jump into a pit of spikes.
Warning: do not jump into a pit of spikes.
All cards in One Deck Dungeon have many colorful boxes. Roll your dice, and attempt to fill in as many boxes as possible. For every one you don't fill, you’ll suffer consequences in hearts and time! Once you complete an encounter you'll be able to learn a new skill, acquire a new item, or gain experience to level up your hero.
Welcome to the world of One Deck Dungeon. Adventure awaits!

One Deck Dungeon Reviews

Broken

Enthusiastic Customer on

I’ve been trying for a couple weeks to get them to fix it. My game won’t let me progress past the main menu, even after deleting the app and redownloading. The first week after I bought it I played a lot and loved it and now it’s completely broken. Support responds to me once every 4-5 days asking me to provide more information with no fixes. I’m just leaving the one star here I’m hopes of getting their attention. I’ll change it to a 5 if anyone can fix the issue.

not a card or deck builder

More of a random dice rolling strategy RPG game. Not sure why it’s listed under deck builder

Not bad on sale!

Full game + 2 DLC packs under $5 isn’t bad for this game. If you enjoy card battlers like STS, MT, or others you should like this, base game is worth $1. Art is 6/10. Tutorial 7/10. Gameplay is 8/10. Variety 9/10. Progression 10/10. Repeatability 10/10. Family share on game and DLC is available. My only gripe is how some of the game is in landscape and some in portrait while playing portrait. Why do I need to turn my phone sideways to look at a card description?

iPhone X support please!

Though the dice can be brutal, One Deck Dungeon offers the kinds of challenges and choices that keep me coming back (in large part because it is not as time-consuming as other board or card games). This version is the latest gem from Handelabra, the team that brought us Sentinels of the Multiverse, which is phenomenal and has enjoyed years of continued support. Thanks, Handelabra, for another polished title that performs flawlessly. These are the iOS developers that we should support. Now, when can we expect the update that brings iPhone X support? UPDATE: Continued support in 2023—over 5 years later!—means everything. Thanks, devs!

Impossibly difficult

LowlyLawyer on

40 games in, zero wins. This game is impossible to win short of getting lucky. Waste of money. I am a gamer my whole life, and have played multiple dice chuckers, this one is by far the hardest. It has potential, but forget about winning. I wasted my time and money so you don’t have to.

Surprisingly deep, old school RPG

The god Retrograde on

I bought the physical game because of reviews that it’s a great solo game but I couldn’t follow the rules - mostly about when to burn cards for the passing of time. After a few attempts, I put it aside. Then I bought the app. What a fun game! It’s surprisingly deep and it plays differently each time. So far I’ve played two dozen games with the Warrior and I just started delving into 2 player games using the Rogue and Mage. It’s a cross between pen and paper D&D and Yahtzee. Skills provide more dice, items affect how the dice are applied. Decisions on how to use the dice and items can greatly affect whether the battle is won or lost. So can deciding to burn time to gain the two health versus using a potion to heal. I’m looking forward to buying all the expansions.

At first hated. Now love it.

I hated this game at first. The dice seemed largely unbalanced or fair. After playing this over and over again each day it’s getting better and making more sense. Your rewarded for taking risk early. Also the campaign mode is nice. I still love the board game version.

Glad I bought the game…

I’ve been debating getting the physical copy of One Deck Dungeon, so when I saw it was available on iOS, I jumped at the chance to buy it. I’m glad I did. I now know that I’m NOT going to buy the physical copy. It might be the the simple animation or the complicated mechanics, but I do not enjoy this game. Maybe I will pick up the physical copy one day, but I will have to play it first.

Fun game

LilRoo on

I downloaded this game because all the female characters triggered a male player who reviewed it, so if a game can easily emasculate someone I’m in. Once I got into this game I found out that it’s also very fun!

Convince me the die rolls are not rigged

Tikibob48 on

United States

It’s not enough that it is difficult to defeat a boss, even at Novice level, but I am suspicious that the die rolls are rigged. I was looking at my statistics and I have rolled 30% more 1’s and 2’s than 5’s and 6’s. With a limited number of times to use your potions to try and manipulate the dice, it’s no wonder you have to choose potions to heal yourself rather than use potions to create dice that will defeat your opponent. I’d be interested in knowing how many times a player is defeated before they win once against the dragon.
