Release Notes
• Upgrade to HD Player Pack via in-app purchase and experience 192 kHz/24-bit high-resolution FLAC, WAV, and DSD playback
• Hi-Res Audio files can be output to the Onkyo DAC-HA200 headphone amplifier via Lightning cable, and to other compatible USB DACs using a Lighting-USB camera adapter or the iPad Camera Connection Kit
• Supports DSD-to-PCM conversion and DoP output
• Transfer audio formats including FLAC and DSD to your device via the iTunes Apps menu on your personal computer
• Note that smooth operation may be compromised on older devices (iPhone 4 and below) when in HD Equalizer Mode due to high processing demands. Audio with a sampling rate exceeding 88.2 kHz output via the device’s headphone connection is downsampled to 48 kHz. Equalizer and crossfade functions are disabled when playing audio via DoP, and frequency response is not displayed.

Pretty poor

Basically a means to flog their paid app. Doesn’t allow any better settings than iTunes & gives you 5 free flac tracks.

Album merge issues and Artist name missing.

I noticed that the Albums with the same names, i.e. “Greatest Hits”, are merged together even if with different Artists name. It doesn’t list all the Artist names.

Review

This app is awesome. Plays flac files perfectly I love how it’s got a eq and is easy to manipulate but we need assistance in creating our own. Why? Well the professionals already have a flac mastered file so how to we eq it Better and warmer ??? I know we can choose but I want own creation on knowing best eq for warming tones to better than CD and better then a record so warm I’m after that’s a beautiful feel to hear I know the app can do it. Just want a sound mastering engineer to help on eq for warmth eq settings.

My only music player on my phone.

Why all of a sudden I have albums split into 2 (one half unknown album)?

Top rated app

I use this app into an Oppo HA-2 SE headphone amp/DAC and it works perfectly. I Drag HD files into the app and they appear and play back at full resolution also play back the entire iTunes library. Hopefully support MQA files soon.

Ads block out content and song selection

This was a great app. However with the addition of google ads you can no longer select Albums, Artist, Songs or Playlist. the Ad bar at the bottom the screen blocks these selections and the app won’t let you close the ad. Until the developer fixes this problem I wouldn’t bother with this app 😡😡

Does display album art correctly

Player is very picky with the size and resolution of album arts. Otherwise it a very reliable player with many features (not necessarily increases sound quality). Great for using the iPhone as a transport and pairing with a good DAC/AMP.

Still love & recommend...

After a year, maybe two, I still love and recommend this app to everyone for its ease of use and overall improvement over Apple’s stock music app. It’s more stable too boot. However... The one improvement I’d like to suggest is the option to switch skins. The new Space Invaders skin, though certainly a damn sight nicer than Apple’s hospital whites, isn’t quite as nice as the previous industrial-inflected design. Minor quibble though! :)

Highly functional but looks old

The app does everything well and is intuitive to use; but I wish its design were more in keeping with iOS 10 than iOS 5

Rubbish - do not buy.

For most of my files it will not read the tags, so most songs just get loaded into "Unknown". I have checked the tags and they are all good, so a hopeless app. There is no support and no way to get your $ back once you have purchased the HD upgrade. Family sharing of the upgrade is also not supported.
