I had not slept through the night for 3 years until I used my chilisleep!!! It is truly life changing !
I bought this device to help cool me at night while sleeping. I downloaded this app to control the temperature remotely. For some odd reason, they want me to create an account with my name and email address, and then, when I read the privacy policy, they basically share the info with anyone they want. This is very unnecessary, and it just seems like an excuse to get personal information to sell to third parties. I already paid $800 for this machine, I should be able to control it on my phone without having to login with an email address and password. Do yourself a favor; take a few minutes and read their privacy policy, and who they share all this information with, all for simply downloading an app that links to your cooling device and controls the temperature.
I love my Ooler, and the app is just OK. It would be dramatically improved. If you could set a schedule by day of the week, instead of a one size fits all.
I ended up disputing this with my credit card company. Long story short, ooler started leaking water (not the pad). My super said it’s extremely dangerous given water and electricity is a horrible combination. Ooler offered me to send in the unit, pay for shipping myself ($100, lol). This company is one of the worst companies I’ve ever seen. I hope they either learn and improve their business or just stop selling their products.
The only thing I would say is to please add a timer function. I have a schedule set but depending on what time I get in bed I’d like to turn it on say 85 degrees for 15-20 mins and then have it turn off automatically so I don’t wake up sweating at some point before my schedule turns it down. It’s far too much trouble to create an entire new schedule for a one-off use at random times. A sleep timer would be amazing.
I have always slept hot . I would wake up often as the mattress retained the heat. Then came the hot flashes and my time asleep quickly diminished. I struggled being tired, angry and depressed. Ooler has changed that. I rarely wake up because of heat which has made a big difference in how I feel and function everyday. I have recommended it to dozens since purchasing.
I love the Ooler. Sleep so much better with it. I wish the app would say if the device was low on water.
My sleep schedule always does not lead to me being able to set a schedule. It would be very helpful if the app to program the system to turn off after a set amount of time, such as 10 hours.
I sent my first unit back after a month, because it no longer would pair with the Ooler app. They assumed the Bluetooth interface was defective. It took them three months, and they finally returned a brand new unit to me! This new unit will not pair with the Ooler app either!! you would think they would have tested this before they sent it to me! There is no getting a hold of anyone on the phone no matter what time of day you call, I have left messages after messages! I have reset, my net work, everything else works on my Bluetooth! I wish someone could help me, this is terribly frustrating!
