Great eSIM - Awful App
The orange holiday is the best eSIM for travelling in France and around Europe. Gives you a French phone number and SMS, free local calls and SMS (most other eSIMs are data only). Very good value and easy to set up. Unfortunately the App is awful in the extreme and designed by people who have never actually used it travelling. For example, what’s the one thing you really want to know? Your data balance and expiry date of the plan - neither of which the App provides! You need to use arcane SMS codes to get it. Also, there is no explanation of how top ups work or what they will give you. Although there is a full profile of the finances and history of Orange as a carrier - which is obviously critical 😜 Much easier than going and trying to buy a physical SIM when you arrive though and great coverage. They need to go and hire an actual traveller as a consultant to design the app to do what you actually need!
