Brilliant App but unfortunately it has stopped working!
Brilliant App and I would ordinarily give 5 stars, except I am currently getting a Fatal Error message on my Ipad Pro and Iphone since updating to the latest IOS 16.3. I am awaiting a developer response before contacting Apple. Clearly something has gone wrong. Hope it doesn’t take too long to resolve.

What fantastic support. The app being updated to iOS 9 was such a wonderful surprise. Thank. After spending far too much time and money trying a variety of free and expensive dictionary apps, this is the one. The ability to cross reference from the dictionary to the thesaurus is perfect. Integrating two of the best Oxford dictionaries in one app is a brilliant move.
(Good customer support too, responded to my emails very quickly and helpfully).

At significant cost Apple should not be walking away from the significant issues that people have faced with this app and allow a developer to walk away. Oxford Dictionaries should also take some responsibilities ... How is his allowed to happen.

Predisastered - go for it!
This is a great app. The Twitter nonsense (now well and truly fixed) caused me, what, half an hour of irritation, which I have to offset against the many many hours of happy use I have had out of this whilst struggling with crosswords on the Tube, and other stuff where ONLY a good quality offline dictionary will suffice.
Sure, they have egg on their faces BUT, as I say in the title, they are in effect predisastered (see the scene in the film "The World According To Garp" where he's about to buy a house) and there's probably no company it's safer to buy software from at the moment ... would you risk it a second time? I think not: two lots of egg on face would sink them, let's be honest. So I will cheerfully go on using and enjoying this great dictionary and will have no qualms about other products from the same developers. And yes, if they screwed up again then sure, I would join the rabble at the castle gates with pitchforks and torches, but it ain't going to happen.
The whole thing has made me go head>desk a bit but to be truthful has not really destroyed my confidence in anything much ... maybe I wasn't THAT idealistic to begin with! :)
The switching Dictionary <> Thesaurus is great; the content is excellent (ODE not OED, yes, but even so) and has some nice slightly-more-encyclopaedic stuff which a straight (eg COD) dictionary doesn't have so much of, and the wildcard searches can solve your crossword woes when all else has failed! A good product - go for it.
