Pawshake Reviews

Low order

octopus bullshit on

Australia

I had create this app for almost 2 month, no single order have made. Not sure is this for real, or the demand is so low compare to other app. 3 months now, no single order, gonna quit this

Lousy UI

JoshOmatic34 on

Australia

Outdated user interface and functionality, surprised people use this.

Clunky app full of glitches

snsnnuh on

Australia

The app constantly logs you out, doesn’t alert you to messages and takes forever to load. It is disappointing. Given the huge profit margins pawshake takes, I wish they would put some of that cost into supporting their platform

Zero respect to sitters and customers

Dulududett on

Australia

They deactivate and delete your account without giving any explanation or notification.

CORRUPT COMPANY

Parisl24 on

Australia

Blocked me and refuse to talk to me (pet sitter) after I tried to help a client out over Christmas because there’s no number or easy client help on Pawshake’s app- which just shows what a corrupt company they are. They are not there to help, they’re there to take your money & use pet sitters. I do not recommend this app- there’s multiple instagram posts explaining how many issues people have had with them so don’t waste your time! Use a pet sitter from your area/suburb.

PawShake assumes all dog owners are saints

MrsC83 on

Australia

I love dog sitting and have used this app a couple of times but the one thing that irks me is that PawShake assumes that every dog owner is a saint and they can never do anything wrong. There is no way for the dog sitter to rate the dog owner to warn future dog sitters of what the dog/dog owner is like or what their house condition might be like. Dog owners should be put through a similar process to what dog sitters go through, or at least allow dog sitters to rate them.

Owners of app keep deactivating me

znB2204 on

Australia

Been on the app for years and 5 times i have written even while i have scheduled jobs on as a sitter, the owners of pawshake repeatedly and deliberately (ive asked them to stop and they continue) to deactivate my account as a sitter without any notification they have done this and then tell me i need to respond quicker saying the average response time should be 1 hour! I have two dogs myself working casually and also full time uni. If i have a working shift there will be times i wont be able to respond I had a case recently where i told the person I could not look after their dog and they replied back asking the same thing and i didnt reply as they were being pushy and I had already said no- and the owners of the app turn my account off. To the owners- stop being sneaky snarky people

Great app, Intuitive interface

Sophia+B on

Australia

As both a sitter and owner the app is quite intuitive. It would be good for the app to continuously ask for feedback on how to improve! For example, there is a timer for sitters to respond, there should also be a timer for owners to book, during busy periods like Xmas it’s counter intuitive to have your last availability in limbo and have to knock back other requests while you wait for the first request to book. It seems counter intuitive that the app doesn’t want owners to book (aka PAY pawshake) as soon as possible, the money isn’t released to the sitter until after the booking has ended anyway. Some owners are rude, there should be a way to block owners from seeing sitter availability if they have behaved inappropriately - of course sitters don’t want to confront owners because it can affect our sitter rating. The app could also benefit from push notifications to remind sitters of their commitments, currently I have to use google calendar and it seems like a lot of double handling. Overall a good app, could do with a few tweaks.

Sitter canceled, Pawshake was it helpful.

Tesla-Fan on

Australia

Had a dog sitter cancel on us 3 days before we were scheduled to leave on holiday. Reached out to Pawshake asking for help locating another sitter (per their guarantee) but the only response I got from them was that that were cancelling the booking, ignoring my request for help find a replacement. Whilst I’m sure others have had a positive experience with this app, my experience has been one of frustration and time wasted, with no support from Pawshake provided when the sitter cancelled, and no ramifications for the sitter cancelling on us with such short notice.

App is slow

Jodie Smalley on

Australia

The app doesn’t load and won’t let me select dates when it does. It’s very very slow after the latest update December 11 2023
