Messes with my noise cancelling headphones

James AP S. on

For some reason this app forces my headphones into a hear through mode which is really annoying. I don’t know how it does it and none of my other apps do this.

Guitar sound

davidw of Kilburn on

This is a very good app and ridiculous value for money. My only problem so far is that I can’t get the guitar sound to play consistently; the app defaults to piano. Is this a known bug?

Rhythm Tapping

Rio Kai on

I feel that this app has a lot of potential as an all round educational tool/aid to learning theory, reading and practical skills. However talking specifically about the rhythm tapping section, there’s a few things that would be much better if improved; The “eighth, two sixteenths” and “Two sixteenths, eighth” exercises both play the same notes for every measure (which is an eighth note followed by two sixteenths), which is kind of pointless. It would be much better if they played different combinations of 1/8th & 2/16th notes. Also the accuracy of tapping sixteenth notes can be quite frustrating. I get that balancing between making it too easy and too hard can be tricky but sometimes it just feels like the button doesn’t respond quickly when you hit it. The jump from everything you learn after exam #1 to what is in exam #2 is quite drastic - it would be nice if there was more of a combination of exercises for ties, rests and 16th notes. Finally, if you hit the “Repeat” button in an exercise where there’s enough bars for the page to have to scroll, it will scroll before you’ve actually played the first bar and you won’t be able to see the notes/scroll back up. But honestly, if all of these things were revised it would be an excellent app.

Crashes on sight reading trainer

Halil İbrahim Kayım on

Everything works fine except the sight reading trainer. When I open up treble and bass cleff trainer in untimed mode, the app crashes after a couple of correct answers.

Crashes and does not work

Spoooon!!.. on

First attempt to use this app resulted in it freezing, with no option to move backwards or forwards. Therefore, I have been unable to use it at all.

Worth having

RJFJones on

Excellent set of tasks. For students and for teachers like myself who are not so strong in the listening department. Repeat anything you want to work on , skip around different tasks as you feel the mood take you . I’ve only done intervals and some scales and there is soooooo much to do. Don’t even think twice- get it - do it - reap the benefits 🎶👍👏

Great for fretboard memorisation

Danooooooô on

For someone who wants to improve their ear training but also guitar fretboard memorisation, this is a great app. The free version is great but to upgrade is very affordable (a one time payment of less than £5). The only feature I would like the app to implement is a setting to change notes to be from sharps to flats.

No help

Bilham69 on

Initially I was doing fine with the app and then I got to minor and major thirds. I’m stuck. I must have done the section 50 times but I can’t recognise all the intervals. I constantly get between 50% and 90%. What is really really annoying is that there is no help. None. Nothing to try and break it down; nothing to give you some different exercises to help you recognise the two intervals. So, there you are, stuck knowing you can’t be sure of the interval and with no help in how to deal with the problem.
