New design broke slideshows, because now it always combines photos together which I never want. Used to be able to choose what type of slideshow, now it dictates the worst option. It also thinks all I care about is faces, zooms in on them and ruins the slideshow.
Gone are the beautiful image context aware curated days view in the library. All we have now is ‘Year/Month/All Photos’, and they’re all dumb squares the same size. Utter rubbish! Recent days is a terrible alternative. Please Apple, you can keep the rest of the ‘improvements’. But ad back the Year/Month/Day/All photos.
I used to love it but the recent redesign makes very simple daily tasks a headache. Do some user acceptance testing!!!

iOS needs to make their search algorithms optional by default.Those who do not wish to have their photos ‘managed’ into albums/categories by apple require the choice to manage their own images by permitting access to the image metadata themselves. The label ‘smart phone’ is yet again demonstrated to be ironic. Oh that’s right - Americans who write/approve the algorithms don’t understand this term.
This is by far the most idioticly unintuitive user interface to shamefully ooze from any corporate behemoth. This is the disturbing app equivalent of vogon poetry. It's downright astonishing that a once functional core iOS app has descended into such a festering pile of garbage. It should NEVER have been ok'd for release. It absolutely astounds me the Apple execs keep going with this atrocious joke and haven't yet stepped up to rectify this mistake with an "We're immensely sorry for this horrible blunder" update. If whoever is responsible for the root of this software warcrime hasn't already been sacked and industry blacklisted, they should be made to read this review and the plethora of other recent ones aloud in a board meeting before facing the music. They have zero business working in the software industry. Do better with your core apps and employment picks Apple!
There’s so much junk in this app now. I think the single worst feature for me is not being able to see the full image thumbnail when adding images to albums. As well as the incredibly clunky and slow method of sorting images in albums.
No ability to share which is what memories are all about
Why can’t I do basic things like add picture to featured? What an over complicated app? Terrible UI and UX
