I can’t import photos?
When I try to import a photo to edit on the app it exits me out? I tried everything. Deleting and getting again, turning off my device then back on, closing the slide. Not sure what happened but It used to work.

This app really delivers a great pixel art experience. I got this app around the same time I got my iPad 4 (which is now comparable to that of a frisbee, after I dropped it... but now I have an iPad air 2). I've made lots of pixel art with this app, such as the maps from The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons, and some cave story sprites. Keep up the awesome work! (I love the new look of pixely! -Liam
I'm super happy with this application so far. I've been playing around with some others but this one has the most features geared towards making pixel art which I need! The onion skin is terrific also for making sprites for my game while I sit away from my computer. Keep up the fantastic work! One feature request is that you can select a rectangular area and move it around the canvas, helps when making animations for sprites and you want to move just an arm or head but leave the rest of the image where it is. This is a great app and most important the creator listens to feedback and continues work on improving the app. More people need to support hard working developers like this. It would be a very sad world where great creation tools exist but its creators cant make enough money to support themselves so when something like this comes along and is being made out of love we have to appreciate it and make sure that it gets as good of a chance it can to succeed. Theres no reason only apple and abusive gaming companies should be the ones making money on Artists should be giving this guy feedback on how to improve it because im just a dude who plays guitar okay.
The app is amazing, allows you to create images and animate
This is by far the most in depth art app available. It's incredibly easy to use and is very intuitive. For the price, it is definitely worth it. Seriously.
There are loads of nice features and it is certainly a very very handy program for an ipad, but it desperately needs some UI changes. Most of the the tools icons are not intuitive at all and don't give any impression of what they do until you click on them and read the descriptive text at the top. Here are my suggested improvements. -Redo all the tools icons so that they are more intuitive representations of what job they preform. Choose a less garish style of rendering them as well. Pure white with very intense contrasting colours and the gridded pixel separation makes it difficult for the eyes to make sense of the icons at a glance. This is bad for learning to work quickly. I can't see myself getting comfortable recognizing which icon I wish to tap while working. More stylized icons would also be an improvement. The current icons don't feel unified. -Remove all the gradients from the apps styling, such as on the header or surrounding the drop down (drop right?) menus. Gradients look very out of place in a pixel art creation program. The solid colour with transparency used in the side bar is much better. -Give some visual indication that an icon opens a sub menu with multiple tools. Photoshop uses a small arrow to mark these I believe. -Change the way the colour selector is opened. Tapping the selected colour box in the top right corner to open and adjust the colour is neither convenient or intuitive. My first instinct was that the icon with the multiple coloured pixels wrapping in a square was the button for adjusting the colour. -Add some more documentation. I was unsure of how to use the "My Palette" area of the colour picker. I had to puzzle it out. I am writing this review not because I dislike the app, but because I like it quite a bit. I can see the potential it has and it's being held back by very poor UI. With a more professional UI I can see this app easily becoming a staple for pixel artists. I'd very much love it to get to a point where I can use it comfortably for my own work. I'll be keeping this app handy so I can change my review and start using it every day if it updates to fix the above.
