Today I tried PlayScore2 for my very first time and it works really great when you keep attention for good diffuse light conditions and no shadows on the sheet: Fantastique! Since this year (2024) we celebrate the great composer Anton Bruckner there are a lot cultural events, in some we take part actively, for example: Playing 9 symphonies in 9 minutes - we got printed fragments (12 bars) of the score we play in some days together with persons we never met before. Since I am much better in learning new music by listening to than by reading, PlayScore2 is THE perfect tool for me. Thanks for this really great and wonderful app - a masterpiece of code!
Not bad, but lacking essential features and unreliable
Generally the software works as intended. However, sometimes it will play a completely wrong note and there is simply no way to fix this... since obviously the detected music is being converted into some kind of midi-format, I don't understand why it is made so impossible to make at least small corrections.
Mostly Great.
Have started choosing this to make recordings for my choir. Most of the time it does a great job of translating the file. But there’s sometimes I wonder what went wrong. The scores seem to be pretty clear, but they don’t come out.
It would be great if playscore could output directly as MP3. If it can do that, I haven’t figured it out yet.
Ugh
I did put it on properly but it’s not doing good
PLS ADD DRUMS🙏
Kinda wished that it had a drums, (like would play the rhythm for you) but overall helps
Play Score 2 a Lifesaver
I have a decent voice and love to sing as a bass in SATB scored music. However, I am a terrible sight reader, don’t play an instrument and rely almost totally on memory of notes from in person practice. This app is a lifesaver because I can finally practice at home and isolate or combine voice parts and add or omit accompaniment (just like in choral weekly practice). It sometimes takes a few tries to get a page captured correctly and sometimes there are a very small percentage of minor flaws on complicated pieces of choral music but I would not have been able to prepare for a choral concert without this remarkable app. I was able to get by with the free version and practice one page at a time but if I was a soloist or a director the paid subscription would be priceless.
Skips lots of notes
Doesn’t keep the tempo, skips lots of notes, doesn’t read them correctly
Helps
It helps with all of my music makes understand what it sounds like
Note reading
The app is good, but it keeps skipping notes that are above or below the staff, is there something I’m doing wrong or any way to fix it
