PlayScore 2 Reviews

Perfect for me

OldbutKeen on

New Zealand

I read music very slowly and sometimes have difficulty with the timing. PlayScore2 has not only helped me play new pieces quickly but has improved my sight reading. Soon, it may become a victim of it’s own brilliance and I may not need it!

Mostly Great.

Have started choosing this to make recordings for my choir. Most of the time it does a great job of translating the file. But there’s sometimes I wonder what went wrong. The scores seem to be pretty clear, but they don’t come out. It would be great if playscore could output directly as MP3. If it can do that, I haven’t figured it out yet.

Play Score 2 a Lifesaver

Wheaton Bass on

United States

I have a decent voice and love to sing as a bass in SATB scored music. However, I am a terrible sight reader, don’t play an instrument and rely almost totally on memory of notes from in person practice. This app is a lifesaver because I can finally practice at home and isolate or combine voice parts and add or omit accompaniment (just like in choral weekly practice). It sometimes takes a few tries to get a page captured correctly and sometimes there are a very small percentage of minor flaws on complicated pieces of choral music but I would not have been able to prepare for a choral concert without this remarkable app. I was able to get by with the free version and practice one page at a time but if I was a soloist or a director the paid subscription would be priceless.

Skips lots of notes

The app is good, but it keeps skipping notes that are above or below the staff, is there something I’m doing wrong or any way to fix it

Good but….

Roboman270 on

United States

I think it does a very good job converting sheet music into sound but I don’t see that has ability to export a sound file such as a dot WAV or.MP3. Very surprised this feature seems to be missing

It’s good and ok

mouse hunter 62 on

So this app is very good with rythmes, just that sometimes it misses a few notes here and there, but nothing big. My one issue is that if you mark up your page a whole ton it cannot read it. But other than that this app is awesome!!
