Used at Cowes Week this year and got good value from the data. For racing, would be good to be able to step through in smaller increments, and also to have “exactly what time does the tide turn where” info rather than just hour by hour. Overall tho the heat map etc is really useful.
Love Predict Wind but this is as bad as PW is good. Presumably based on models it seems to take little account of coastal features beyond obvious pinch points, and has tide setting across lochs and estuaries. Much worse is that it’s timings are frequently out. I’d consider totally useless for coastal navigation and when else do you need to know about tides? To say nothing of the outrageous pricing. Subscription cancelled, very disappointed.
I have signed into the free trial on my iPhone and can access the current charts but trying to access the same on my iPad does not work. The app continually demands that I upgrade and does not allow access to those charts. Very disappointing to say the least. Now the app keeps asking to upgrade to annual and bars any progress to charts.

Had some good data and so on, but the ad I saw didn’t mention the paywall for the current maps. The add said it was an app with current maps and it was free, but you failed to mention that your main feature was not, in fact, free.
The main feature, rendered current maps, is behind a paywalled / premium subscription.
Requires a new account with your info and no way to try it out without signing up for a paid subscription. Wasted my time.

I am a fan of PredictWind and was interested in this app. Unfortunately, you have to subscribe to have anything even remotely useful. Predictwind you can do better.
