Profoto Camera

I got this app together with the C1 and I was excited! Shooting photos with an off-camera flash sounded amazing. Looks great too! But really the camera app is clumsy to use. Especially when you compare it to all the other camera apps out there. Slow response, weird standard settings, white balance way off and no convenient way to controll it. I mean, it’s cool to have all the manual settings but this is a phone! Make it usable for the touch display where users don’t have dials and wheels and buttons. And lastly: when I want to take pictures with the C1, it triggers 3 successive flashes and at the end I get one picture. But at which flash? 1,2 or 3? This happens in manual and convenience mode. Guys, when I want to take a candid picture, it has to be snappy!!! It’s called „Profoto“ and I paid for and expect it to have PROfessional usability.

An sich super aber beim neuen iPhone funktioniert der Blitz leider nur mit der Selfie Cam. Bitte unbedingt beheben!!!!

Connecting with B10 is very easy and fast. My problem are selfies with main camera, focus is not very reliable. But if you only take photos of others, all good

Great app and I have all the lights, but the sad thing is I can not use the 48 megapixel feature. This makes the whole iPhone 14 max with this light a bit undervalued. In any case I hope the guys here at Profoto will see our pain and will help to deliver the product we all so desire.

I got this app specifically for the 48MP iphone 14. Totally disappointed to find out after purchasing a Profoto flash that 48MP is not supported . Profoto?? What’s going on? They are usually on point with the latest and greatest.

I can’t even with this. It’s a great tease to say it works with an iPhone but nah. Why can’t I get the flash on manual below 1.0 ? Why is it so buggy? Why does it keep doing weird things? Have you guys tried watching users with the app and tried to see how useless this is? I’m so frustrated

Feature update request. The native camera in the iPhone 14 Pro has 4 focal length presets. Profoto camera has only 3. The 1x lens on this camera has optical zoom to 2x. I can select 1x in Profoto Camera and spread my fingers on the screen to manually zoom to 2x (48 mm full frame equivalent) but that slows down composition. It would be a big help to have the “normal 50” 2x focal length as a preset like the native camera app does.

Not sure why I expect modern Profoto to offer experience worthy of their insane price tags but it’s pretty unfortunate they can’t get the basics of a camera app to work… ProfotoRAW format mode gives me an error every couple of captures saying the storage is full on my iPhone (not even close to true). When I try the jpeg format instead, I get corrupted jpegs. Pretty frustrating when I just spent $300 on a little led light advertised for phones and $2300 on a b10 plus also advertised to be able to use with phones.

Can’t shoot in the app without it glitching out and auto firing. It worked for about 6 frames until it decided to fire whenever it wanted to. Cannot recommend.
