This VPN is now a scam
I used this service with monthly subscription with no issues. I then pre-paid 2 years of service, and they silently disabled the Vancouver server (the exact reason I used it). They didn’t even notify the customer, they didn’t even remove the “Vancouver, CA” server from the UX — they simply, frustratingly just disabled the click function on the icon. So, you’d sit there clicking it over and over and over thinking it was a hardware/software issue, and not that they’d removed services with no announcement or indication. Since then, the VPN cannot be used for ANY service. My bank account has been locked when trying to connect on their servers, along with multiple other services locked. Their servers (I’ve spent hours rotating through every available server testing this) can no longer even load Google’s main website. Every single one is flagged and IP banned. I have been demanding a refund for my services for months and nothing has come of it. Their customer service is useless and their chat bot fails to load every single time now. At his point, this is honestly a scam. It is no longer a VPN, it is not at all a functional service — they are simply taking your money with zero services rendered. Infuriating.

Very bad customer service
I have requested for a refund after the recurring payment which was not intended to renew. I reached them on the next day after the payment and they are not giving back money I lost 250$ in two years without using it. They are saying it’s not in the policy. The policy doesn’t says anything about you won’t get a refund for recurring payments. Very bad VPN service
It is a scam
Explicitly ask to remove my credit card information. They refused and just claim that they will not auto subscribe. Today they charged me some $1300 USD for a full package like 5 year or so. Without my authorisation and no notification at all.

I didnt sign up to get flooded with your offers. I only need notifications to know if the service is online or offline. Not to give you a back door to my personal space to pump me with offers and spam. Fix your spam
It’s okay, but there are better ones
PureVPN is okay, but there are better providers. Here are a few of the issues: 1. Data is linked to you…”App privacy” shows lots of data is linked to the user, including usage and identifiers! A big no no. Compare this to other vpn providers like VPN by PIA and Mullvad which do not link any data to the user. 2. Speed is slower than other providers. i.e. speed tests returns on average 20 - 40 Mbps with PureVPN vs. 200 - 300 Mbps on Mullvad. 3. Regular nag screen in the app asking that you give it a 5 star rating. 4. It takes numerous tries to connect to a server on my iPad. Here are a few of the pros: 1. Once connected, it works well (although a little slow) 2. There are servers to choose from in lots of countries. 3. If you have an issue, support usually responds in a timely manner.
