Clunky AF

Generally ok, but nothing to write home about. It’s a 2.5 star. Pretty clunky app. Issues logging in from time to time. Updates freeze or crash the app. Delete and reinstall often the solution. Hope you backup your data.

Constantly freezing on iPhone

heccybaby on

Australia

I’ve been using Qardio app for year with no issues. Recently it’s been freezing every time I open the app after the first reading. I then close the app and 2nd time I try it usually works. Very annoying when I would like to take 3 readings per day.

Constantly freezes

This app is constantly freezing. Even the blood pressure measurement freezes during the countdown. It may recover on it's own, but using an unresponsive app is quite painful. My phone gets really warm when this happens.

taking weight is no longer possible :( please stop

For those interested in a simple way to take your weight, you may consider a different option. We have been usingQardio Scale and iOS app for 4 years now. After the last update this week, we are unable to use the scale to take the weight - the weight reading is gone. This is very unfortunate as we notice that Qardio has embarked in a journey to change their user interface at the expense of impacting the simplicity and usability of their app - subsequently adding a lot of unnecessary complexity to it, to the point that taking the weight no longer works. While we understand Qardio’s new interface is targetted as a display to show their devices and trigger buyer behaviour, it is unfortunate that Qardio’s team of experience designers are not considering the usability of the app itself and the impact on customer iteractions on a daily basis with such as cluttered and complex interface. For example, as a user with one device only (Qardio Scale) I am not interested in seeing a complex dashboard at the start or a menu showing all the gadgets that they sell - it’s almost like an online shopping dashboard with all their gadgets. For users who operate on simplicity, we just need the weight screen at the start of the app (as it used to be when we bought the scale) so wecan tap one button and get the weight transferred into by Apple health via bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The key purpose of a ‘smart’ scale paired to an iOS device - a one click simple and straight forward task that consistently captures the weight with maximum reliability. The other gadgets are irrelevant. If we decide to buy more Qardio gadgets, logically an option to access these is required. What does not make sense from a usability perspective is to force the user to take a look at the Qardio online shop to get to the scale section, then seeing an extremely complex screen with tiny font and sophisticated graphics that we cannot even see in such a small screen. The one purpose of capturing the weight becomes a nightmare. You are making your iOS app a painpoint itself as you keep adding more and more fluff. And more importantly, if I wake up and try to take my weight using your device and iOS app and I see myself wasting 20 minutes trying to figure out where the simple task of taking my weight is gone or how I can navigate such a complex interface after your shiny user interface update to get to the one thing that I needed, I start thinking 'it may be the time to sell the scale and get something tha

Setting weight goal

Nuttijedi on

Australia

Cannot find troubleshooting for locating the save button to set weight goal, instructions say it’s in the right top corner but there is no save button there on mine or hubbys app. Been using it for a long time without issue and previously had a goal so it worked at some point but not at the moment

This reviews is about the ECG app. I’ve been using it for nearly a year. The missing features like alerts for abnormalities and a fast way to find the relevant trace are explained away by it being a device to be used with a doctor who also has an account. What can’t be explained away is the crashing when scrolling through a trace that is almost guaranteed to happen. The latest v 1.9 App is supposed to fix the crashing when scrolling through a trace. It doesn’t. It also changes the operation of the app for the worse. Previously when the phone screen blanked out after the usual screen inactivity period on the real time trace view you could go back to the app with the phone home button like any other app, touch pause if you had had a symptom, and scroll back to see the trace. (If it then didn’t crash which it did, frequently.) With the latest update, the home button returns to the app home screen not the real time ECG trace screen and restarts the trace screen. When you select it. It’s no longer possible to scroll back the trace. Instead you need to pause, enter the calendar to choose a date and time manually, and hope your time selection includes the section of the trace when the symptom occurs. And STILL pray that it doesn’t crash as you scroll the trace before you find the needed section, because it WILL crash at some random point just about EVERY time eventually. Disappointingly v1.9 update is no more stable and even more frustrating to use than the last one. Please make the previous version available.... The one advantage of this device over say Kardia which I also have is that it can be left for hours to passively record the ECG, like a personal Holter monitor. However the new update makes it more frustrating to view the trace and go back on time and the instability makes it nearly impossible! Qardio has known about the crashing trace view for 3 years and the latest version is no better at fixing it. It’s now not acceptable. The hardware is nice but I simply can not recommend anyone buy it. After 3 years of not fixing the stability issues we are beyond giving Qardio the benefit of the caveat “if they fix the stability issues “. They have had long enough to do it and the latest update is to make it less user friendly and just unstable.

Life Saver

I love the capability to determine when there is an irregular heart beat and then being able to forward on this information to the doctor. For people that don’t know their blood pressure this little unit can be a life saver

App keeps crashing.

Hello developers, Can the stability of this app be worked on? When using the CardioCore function, the app will constantly crash and loose connection to the device. Great device and works well but the application really brings down the product.
