Qu-Pad

Well close to perfect. The only thing it’s missing is background app refresh. On my iPad when I switch apps, I have to re-login to the desk when I open it again. Often I do this to check a running order.

Great app. Sometimes have to delete and re-install to get working.

QU Pad. It does not work on the new gen iPad Pro. The firmware on the mixer is up-to-date. However the APP never connects to the mixer.

Great App, very powerful and easy to use. Only thing stopping being 5 stars is that it does not support full screen on iPad Pro 11”. Please can you update.

The app works well apart from having to re-login every time you change apps and that it doesn’t support the larger screens of the iPad pros as you can see as much on the 13” screen as you can on the 8” screen on the mini it just has larger buttons.

It goes without saying that the usability of Allen & Heaths QU range is superb. This app is no different, it has all of the functionality that you get from the desk but obviously with the bonus of being able to have full control wherever you are in the room. This really is a must have for an QU users, thanks Allen & Heath!

V 1.9 has allowed all the functions of the desk to be accessed from the iPad. This means that at several gigs recently, I've not touched the desk at all from soundcheck to the end of the night, so I no longer need to take up valuable space in the room for smaller gigs & weddings. I'm able to set up routing, multitrack recording, save & recall scenes & presets, adjust effects, as well as all the stuff I could do before, all from wherever I want to be in the room. I can now stand with the band to set up monitors or have a monitor engineer on a second iPad. Seeing the screen in bright sunlight has been a bit of a problem at this time of year, but is not really a fault of the app, thoght maybe customising the colour of the channel strips would help with this? Check out the Qu-Cotrol app too, as I find it's another very useful tool to use alongside this one. Mark

Well not much choice really can't use the desk very easily without it. You can but it's .....long. Would be great if there was a CCK cable hook up....setting up a router every time is tedious. Some features not in the app. Go to a different app and it logs you out and you have log back in again...... Every single time...... Aaaargh.... If you use you iPad for a variety of different tasks at gigs it becomes fudgingly irritating and completely impractical.

Love this app just used it in a venue where I had to have my qu 24 behind the FOH speakers used the mixer to get 90% there then used the app to mix from where the crowd was going to be. My biggest moan about this app is that the PFL buttons don't let you listen through the iPad but make go to your mixer. Setting the app up with my qu 24 was easy as anything just plug my router in connected my iPad and it all was there and waiting for me. My band also loved the qu you app for their in ears.

Please make this app also work by direct USB connection, wifi is fine but it would be much better if it could also connect via USB using the CCK.
