Raindrop.io

I’ve been using this app for a couple of months and so far it’s really good. I love the visual identity. The only thing that bugs me is the number of steps it takes to bookmark something. After clicking on the bookmark icon you have to choose a collection, and even though I don’t have any groups/collections, I always have to click on “Unsorted” and wait for it to save. After that, I have to move down and click/tap once again in order to close the dialog. This is not a “smooth” experience and is kinda annoying. They should take a leaf from Pocket’s book which can do all this in one click.

Loved this app for about a year. One morning I opened it up and there was nothing. I had meticulously saved hundreds of links and now they were gone. Despite my many attempts to rectify the situation…nothing. I emailed support and, five days later, was told I probably used a different email. I only have two that I use and, nope, that doesn’t answer the problem. Some priceless stuff lost. Loved it for a year but now, not recommended.

I use diigo’s highlighting feature and wanted to compare it to raindrop but while I like raindrops UI better, I can’t get the highlighting to work so I’m not ready to move yet.

When opening it can take a few minutes to sync latest bookmarks. This should be a top priority to fix.

It seems like such a feature-packed app but I don't even see any way to enable a reader mode, so I'm stuck with a bunch of ad-covered websites when I'm reading. I don't get how they could omit this. I can't use this as my article repository after all. Disappointed.

It would be nice to store backups on iCloud.

The saved articles display without pictures ，whereas they perform normally on Raindrop.io website on pc.

Usability of app is strong, clean user interface. Enough bells and whistles to allow for user creation of keywords, subfolders. After a couple hours, I was happy to pay annual subscription price to be a Pro user. Biggest problem so far is that 2 of 3 people I'm sharing a specific travel folder with have never received the email I have sent to them through the app. We've done all typical checks re spam folders etc., and the emails just never get delivered. I have provided them the link as an alternative but that doesn't actually take them to the specific folder. It's highly unfortunate and restrictive problem that lowers efficacy of using this to manage a group folder. No conceivable or identifiable way of contacting developed either **except** by writing a review.

I am a collector of information, particularly bookmarks. I have a work laptop, personal laptop and of course my phone and using the bookmarks feature in the web browsers on each was chaos. Enter raindrop.io and what a gamechanger!! When I set up tags my heart leaped with happiness and once I used the highlight feature a single tear of joy came to my eye. I can't live without this tool and wish I had known about it sooner.

I migrated and deleted my decade old getpocket account after trying out raindrop.io on my laptop. It has everything I had wished for. On the iOS app though, I’m not able to edit links or search as the keyboard does not show up. And I can’t find a place to report the bug. I’ve found a workaround and that is to switch to a different app, type in the title I want, copy, the switch back and paste it in to the app
