Minimalistic no bs just works

It used to be open source app but now it’s sold to the company that locked users’ keys behind a paywall after a sneaky update. Dead project.

I have never felt so betrayed by an app as I have with Raivo. This once reliable TOTP generator for 2FA has been sold to a new company, and their first order of business? Forcing loyal users to pay a subscription fee without any prior notice. This underhanded tactic is nothing short of a money-grab, preying on users who depend on the app for securing their accounts. To make matters worse, if you don't pay up, you lose access to all your accounts. That's right - accounts that you trusted Raivo to safeguard are now held hostage. This is not just an inconvenience; it's a serious security risk that could have far-reaching consequences for personal and professional data integrity. It's one thing to introduce a subscription model for new users or new features, but to abruptly lock out existing users and demand payment is a despicable move. This shows a complete lack of respect for their user base and a blatant disregard for ethical business practices. I will be reporting this app to Apple for forcing users into a subscription model without prior notice. Such deceptive and coercive tactics should not be allowed on the App Store. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Raivo. There are plenty of other trustworthy 2FA apps out there that won't pull the rug out from under you. This app has shown its true colors, and it's clear that they prioritize profits over user security and trust. Disgraceful.

The fact that it backs up seemingly with your iCloud backups deserves 5 stars in itself. I just wish the custom icons would work sometimes, but that’s more of a pet peeve.

QR code backup is what did it for me. Cross-platform. And its reputation. Just look at all of these great reviews!
