Plz fix thumnail on some feed list (some only show favicon, not thumnail)
The app is beautiful and revolutionary but it has no reading statistics which is the only feature that I wanted. Just a simple line plot showing pages read per day so I can see some type of trend to improve myself. The developers mentioned this was low on their priority list which was very sad since statistics is what set their original Readwise app apart from the competition and is why I became a Readwise user in the first place. It seems Readwise has lost the vision. If statistics are ever added to Reader, I’ll update this review to make sure it has accurate information.
I want to give this app 5 stars, but they continue to put superfluous / unneeded features into the reading view. The reading view should have NO distractions. Not a bar at the bottom of the screen with the document title. Not an annoying popup asking if I want to “return to 76% position. Stop putting things in the reader view please!
Since all the old RSS readers died and every site has been adding paywalls it’s been harder and harder to be efficient with my reading. Enter Readwise Reader. It lets me funnel nearly all the content I want to read - emails, articles, even PDFs - into one experience. I churn through everything on my iPad in the morning and save content for work to access from the desktop app. They have a great Discord community too and are super responsive to feedback. Love this team!
Since latest update when listening to an ebook the app crashes and quits, forcing me to reopen the app, reopen the book and restarting the book.
App is extremely slow at initial open. It get better once everything is loaded but that takes forever
I love Readwise on my phone, my Palma, and my web browser. It’s the best reading app & it’s expensive enough that I almost trust it’ll stick around (unlike Omnivore…). For unknown reasons, though: the iPad OS app is the web browser’s inferior in every way. The lack of a sidebar is nuts and it’s basically a high-res version of the phone app. What’s up with that?
A place to read, listen (text to speech), and organize your notes. All very well executed with a great UX. I wish I found this years ago.
After finally getting fed up with Pocket after 10+ years, I made the switch to Reader and haven't looked back. The subscription is definitely more expensive, but I've found the additional value to be worth it. I love the ability to triage and organize my read-later saves. I especially love the ability to send email newsletters to the Feed and then save interesting articles out of there directly into my read later queue.
This cannot grab all of my annotations from all of my apps and put them in a single place, as I understood that it could. I am a power user on a variety of reading apps and it does not perform the key function that I wanted it for. Please contact me to discuss at least a partial refund for my annual subscription.
