Reflect Notes Reviews

99% the best note taking app

This app is great. I primarily use the desktop, but the mobile app has most of the functionality of the desktop app as well. Some minor quirks that I hope they look into: 1. While the Kindle Sync option is optional, I think it should be separate from the onboarding because I overlooked it and it started syncing all my books… and comics…. And cookbooks. Which completely filled my All Notes section with authors from content I’m not going to note take on or haven’t even touched. A few resolutions could be clarifying what is going to be done ahead of time (I would’ve assumed it would only pull from books I’ve taken notes like Readwise does) or allowing to differentiate books from comic (not sure if possible tbh) 2. So thankfully this occurred when my notes were empty. Easy enough to just wipe everything and start fresh. Deleted it all and started using Reflects… but unfortunately all the authors and books returned. I was able to delete the books again… but I think I’ve come across a bug where I can’t search for that #author tag. It’s acting as though it doesn’t exist even though I’m looking at hundreds of notes created with the #author tags. (It has been a month and the issue has not occurred again. Could’ve been a minor glitch) Wants: 1. The top bar in All Notes on desktop should be configurable to what the user wants to access most quickly. 2. Not sure how to word this concisely, but when I’m searching for something, it brings me to a list of notes meeting the criteria, but maybe I click the note that wasn’t exactly what I needed… so I back out but now I’m just in my All Notes section. I have to redo the search criteria every time. Seems a bit cumbersome to have to do this numerous times when looking for something. 3. A Tasks widget so I can view this list from my Home Screen. Aside from those things, I love the app. It’s quick and meshing with my brain relatively well. It is definitely something I can see myself using for a long time. They seem to be very thoughtful in their features.

A rating for the app, but it’s not perfect.

Reflect is a well built and certainly basic note taking application with a solid AI implementation that is supported by a small team with no ambition to move fast, grow the team, or add in functionality that is considered basic is most if not all other tools (simple table support, poor image support, a severe lack of text formatting support.) You get a 2 week trial to see if it’s for you. Take advantage of it.

AWESOME app!

After Notion and Obsidian, I think I FINALLY found THE app for my notes. Seamless experience and easy to find anything with the AI. I no longer feel restricted in retrieval. Thank you!

iPad App

iPad App does not translate to iPad screen ratio. If you are using a keyboard attachment, it looks like the iPhone app vertically, while the iPad is horizontal, which is disappointing. Is an iPad native app being built?

I’ve been using Reflect for over six months now and I love it. I tried it because of the AI features, very hesitant about their journal approach, but I was surprised at how natural it felt to adopt to it. I was also surprised when they introduced tasks and it turns out that it is so easy and comfortable to be able to create a task right there are you are writing a note. Now I hope the Reflect team expands on the tasks functionality, like allowing recurrent tasks and notifications. On the con side, I wish that they added some color to our notes. I think Bear has found the right balance of a beautiful design that doesn’t overcomplicate things and it’s be cool if Reflect stole a trick or two from them.

Feels like home for my brain

I’ve tried a lot of different apps for note taking and I’ve always felt like I’m trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Reflect finally feels like home for how my brain processes notes and memories. I love the daily note format and back linking. It’s so much easier to keep things organized and not feel overwhelmed by having to go organize my notes all the time. The AI takes it all to the next level with transcription for voice and automatically applying backlinks to my notes.

Complete Game-Changer!!

Reflect is hands down the best note-taking and productivity app I've ever used, and I've tried them all! This app is a total game-changer when it comes to keeping your thoughts, ideas, and information organized and easily accessible. What I love most about Reflect is how it combines note-taking, knowledge management, and productivity features into one super intuitive and user-friendly package. The app's AI is like having a genius personal assistant that helps you capture your ideas, sort them out, and even find connections you might have missed. Jotting down notes and thoughts is a piece of cake with Reflect. The app's smart suggestions and prompts make it so easy to capture your ideas on the fly. And once you've got your notes in the app, organizing them is a breeze with the awesome categorization and tagging features. But here's where Reflect really shines: it doesn't just help you take notes; it actually helps you discover new insights and connections within your ideas. The app analyzes your notes and suggests related resources, links, and concepts, allowing you to dive deeper into your thoughts and come up with fresh perspectives. Another thing that makes Reflect stand out is how customizable it is. Whether you're a student, professional, or creative type, you can tweak the app's templates, workflows, and integrations to perfectly suit your needs and preferences. So, if you're looking for an all-in-one solution to keep your digital life in order and boost your productivity, Reflect is definitely the way to go. It's the best note-taking and knowledge management app out there, hands down. Give it a try, and you'll see what I mean!

It would be nice if the app could be adapted to the iPad’s screen ratio.

By far the best app ever

This app has literally changed my life. I record my thoughts. I take a meeting loan notes. I record the freaking rainfall and jot down moments when I bump into neighbors and I can’t believe how freaking easy and useful this is. With whisper is awesome.

If you are anything like me you’ve tried a ton of note-taking apps, likely because they all have some sort of friction when it comes to quickly capturing thoughts, ideas, etc. Reflect effectively removes friction from note-taking, making it a joy to use. They also constantly add value by sharing tips and tricks on Twitter and YouTube for getting the most out of their app. I ❤️ this tool.
