Remote Shutter is an application that requires two devices. It works on both macOS and iOS.
With Remote Shutter one of your devices is the camera remote or camera monitor, and the other device would be set up wherever you would like to take a picture as the camera. Using the connected phone you can take pictures from up to 50 feet away.
Remote Shutter makes it easy to take pictures of things at weird angles and that would put you in an uncomfortable position. Take Remote Shutter for a spin for free!
Features:
- Take pictures from up to 50ft away
- Toggle the camera orientation
- Use the camera flash
- Adjustable camera timer
HOW TO USE
When you first open the app the phone will start searching for devices to connect with. The camera connects with a P2P connection to the other device. Once the devices are connected you will have to choose which device is the camera and which phone is the remote.
1. Connect your devices
2. Choose which role the device has (camera or remote)
3. Set up & take pictures!

Good! but,..
Thanks for providing this great app.
I use it for my bicycle trailer to be able to watch my kids in the back. Video Quality is good (iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 6s).
With my iPhone on the handlebars and the control side, I can see everything going on in the back and don't have to take my eyes off the road.
Very nice! What I miss is an auto reconnect method. If I lose connection, I have to stop and reconnect again. Very stressful in the long run. Another app can do that and I wish this one could too.
Please an update! (then 5 Stars)
Thank you and love
Cannot reach the developer :-(
The app functions, however could need some extra features.
Unfortunately the website does not exist (anymore). The support email address is not reachable.
The development apparently has stopped.

Brillant!

It works, but …
I downloaded this app on my search for a good remote triggered camera app that supports the native resolution of my phones image sensor to use it for wildlife photography. But this app, as so many others only creates 1920x1080 images and the delay between trigger an the actual photo is a bit too long to be useful. But all in all it works, just not for me.
