Remoter Pro (VNC, SSH & RDP)

Looked very promising, so I paid. Unfortunately there is no help.

From the description I expected to be able to tunnel rdp over ssh. This does not work. If I could have got a refund that would have been fair enough. Since I can’t I’ll at least leave a review to warn others.

Good keyboard. Ctrl etc work well. On the iPhone unable to run rdp over ssh tunnel as far as I can tell so I use another app for that.

Works well but lacking current security features. Very easy to get up and running for RDP over SSH, better than using multiple apps or manually setting up port forwarding. However this app only support legacy SSH key/cipher types eg DSA, RSA and DES or 3-DES. Industry has moved to AES and elliptic keys a long time ago now, and DSA completely obsolete.

Just downloaded remoter pro. Set up Mac sharing as directed, and cannot make connection. Help messages and error messages are useless. Will try a little more but otherwise I suspect this is a pile of rubbish.

As someone works in IT, I use remote access all the time. I have tried a lot of different remote access apps, this is the one stopped me trying. Using different protocols in one app, user friendly keyboard/trackpad and everything clear and in one place. Good job, well done. Worth every penny.

IOS user interface is much harder to operate. The shift from icons to text buttons makes the app harder to navigate because the screen just looks cluttered. Color palate makes it near impossible to see the buttons on the top for keyboard and mouse on my iphone. The keyboard now displays text locally before sending en-bloc, so all passwords are visible in cleartext when trying to log on to remote site. Bad for security. Hope to see fixes for all these problems.....

I gave this application 5 start a year or so ago. Now I've changed my mind and reviewed again with 1 star. I wish I could give 0 stars but unfortunately there's no option for this. Haven't seen an app like this going so downwards over time. It used to be the best app around but now 100% useless. e.g. Authentication error even though I supply the correct passwords. I CANNOT use tis application AT ALL. Please bring back version 1.5.02 and I may give 5 stars again. Just discard all the changes made since 1.5.02 and you may get more customers interested in this again.

Love this app! My only problem with it is my fat fingers, but that is so easily solved by zooming in on what I want to click.

I used to love this app as it gave me great flexible Remote Desktop, VNC and SSH functionality with the ability to set differing profiles that optimised use over wifi or 3G to a multitude of different machines. But at some point during the last handful of updates it now takes up to 5 minutes to load the program and crashes often. I really need these issues fixed, especially as a paid user of the software, and if they were cleared up it would once again be the single best piece of software I've had on my iPad.
