Remoter Pro (VNC, SSH & RDP)

This app Doesn't work to connect to an Ubuntu machine. But windows Remote Desktop application does

This app is vulnerable to the Man in the Middle "Terrapin" attack. I have moved to Edovia’s Screen app which is not vulnerable.

This used to be a good and useful app but it hasn’t worked in over a year and crashes whenever you try to connect to a SSH server using a key file. If you do manage to connect, it crashes when you log off. My rating for it would be much higher but the devs don’t support the app anymore. Paid good money for it, too

I can’t seem to do much in this app without it crashing. Tried to connect to a VNC+SSH server? Crash. Connect to a server via SSH is ok but as soon as I disconnect from it, the app crashes again. This app should be what I need but I can’t in good faith recommend it.

It crashes when I connect to Vic over ssh

Tried a bunch and this is still the most reliable and flexible of the lot. Easily supports VNC via SSH tunneling and the connections hold up when the internet service is a bit shaky.

Functionality is poor. Would not purchase

I have been using this app for years and it is generally the best RDP client on the market. However I switched to an iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard and found a handful of issues. I was hoping to open a support ticket but it seems support hasn’t been available in the developers website since 2016. Not sure why as updates appear to be released for this app. Hoping someone will see this review and respond, not sure how else to make contact.

RemoterPro has done what I needed it to do in the past, but there seems to be some issues connecting to systems via SSH with keys on newer servers that have version 3 of OpenSSL. The key exchange fails. Other than that it has been working great for years.

Simply doesn’t connect to ssh sessions. This is on an iPad with iOS 14.7.1. Checked their support forum and there’s nothing there more recent than 2016. Don’t spend any money on this useless, abandonware app.
