Not ideal, but I use it every day!

Keeps crashing when using ssh tunnel

As the title says, i tried using VNC over SSH and every time i attempt to connect the app just crashes.

Abandonware

This has a bug where it doesn’t remember the zoom level, etc when disconnected despite the option for it to remember being enabled. There’s been no updates for over a year and the forums have had ZERO activity in the last 5 years. Abandonware. Don’t buy.

Won't open

Now fails to even open on latest iOS

Not intuitive at all

Not intuitive. Difficult to setup. Not at all easy to connect to MacOS via VNC. Colour palette used is difficult to see in bright lighting conditions such as outdoors. Generally flaky behaviour when configuring connections. This is poor. Asking for a refund.

config does not work on ipad pro

- pasting ssh key from clipboard does not work (ssh private key is in clipboard, pastes fine in e.g. goodnotes)

Some good parts Some terrible parts

This used to be my go to app for SSH and VNC, but lately I am experiencing lots of issues and the forums haven’t had any activity in years, so seems pointless to look for help there. No email address to get support from the developer. The app in its basic form works well. You can SSH and VNC to machines and all is fine. I use an iPad Pro with keyboard. Sometimes I find that if I use split window with safari or another app, the Remoter will automatically grab back control of the keyboard, meaning you cannot search something on the web while this is open. Sometimes I will connect to a machine and use the virtual trackpad but it seems to lock to either right clicking or centre clicking rather than a single left click. It’s very annoying and seems to be the command button in the hidden pop up that keeps turning on and doesn’t turn back off without pulling up the window and double selecting it. So as I say, it works for the most part, but has some terrible drawbacks that mean I am on the look out for a better split window SSH system

Doesn't Work

Says it'll import SSH keys - doesn't. Customer support not supportive. Forums say no one else can solve the problem.

Very difficult to set up

Sorry only one star for this. I have tried for some time to set this screen sharing up, but no luck. So be warned unless you are very tech savvy this app may be a waste of money.

Best iOS VNC tool out there

I've most other VNC tools out there but none of them come close. It's a power users app so has a bit of a learning curve. But features like macros, different keyboard layouts,Dropbox sync...make for a great experience. Well worth the price.
