Waste of time

Ale_83_b on

It asks the same 2 questions all the time. Added questions only once. Stats are garbage because it’s not random sample.

Screen colours

hedgeweft on

Please can you just do a simple white screen with black text for this app - the accessibility is terrible! I am unable to see the text when the colours of the background are so vivid so I will have to get my money back and return this app. Gives me a headache.

Amazing with new time setting

Duturt on

I love this app and I realy like the fact they now introduced time setting for reports. This allows me to track different things at non random times and its exactly what i needed.

In some ways brilliant, but with a couple of serious flaws

Soutpiel on

The concept behind this app is good, and it's beautifully designed. Also, in a time of walled gardens and lock-in, full marks to the developers for allowing users to export their data from the app in a sensible, open format. In fact, users are positively encouraged to take their data to other third party visualisation tools. I've used the app for quite some time and generally like the experience, but I've encountered two serious problems: 1. An ostensible strength of Reporter is its ability to remind you to fill in quick questionnaires throughout the day in order to make the process of data capture automatic and as frictionless as possible. However, certain questions need to be set to appear only on waking or going to sleep ("How do you feel about the day ahead?" "How many coffees did you drink today?" etc.) but these will only be triggered when you MANUALLY flick a switch from "awake" to "asleep" or vice versa. In all the months I used the app, I never once remembered to toggle that switch. 2. Much more seriously, the whole data capture process is potentially let down by the way we use our smartphones. There are times when I simply ignore my phone (or switch it off) and at these times will never see the Reporter alerts, which impedes the capture of certain data. For example, for the question "What are you doing?", I will never answer "In a meeting", "Watching a film", "Driving", etc. I generally ignore my phone when I'm with my young daughter (I don't want her to grow up thinking that being constantly glued to a screen is normal behaviour) and so the question "Who are you with?" seems to suggest I spend vast amounts of time with work colleagues and almost no time with my family. Obviously these kinds of limitations completely distort the picture my data is creating. As much as I'd like to make Reporter work, I just can't find a way to work around these two shortcomings. I'm about to delete the app from my phone.

Keeps Crashing

App is great but since today, app Keeps crashing.

Good app let down slightly by results format

Moshchop on

This is a good app that gives you more insight the longer you use it. I like the fact you can make your own questions and the different response formats are good and cater for most reports you want to make. My only criticism is the way the app reports the results. It's all rather bland with just graphs and percentage bars for each individual question you have asked yourself. There is no integration between results to give more detailed results. For example, one of my questions is how stressed I'm feeling. The results over time show a percentage of either good, bad or just ok. This is all well and good but more detail as to when you are feeling certain stress levels would be more helpful. The app could expand by showing you have bad stress when at work, or home, with certain people for example.

Very poor, major problems on upgrade

dmeehan1968 on

Major data entry bugs in latest release. Do not upgrade. App crashes during data entry and provides answer choices unrelated to current question. Unusable.

Excellent

I love tracking my activities and habits with Reporter. It's a great way to gain insights about your life. Looking forward to iCloud backup support and the ability to add retrospective reports when you forget - both are apparently planned for the future.

Poor support

hebawom on

I don't normally write reviews, but I love this app, but have an issue with. I wrote support a couple of months back and never heard back from them - poor service

Love it

Exactly what I was looking for!!
