My only App
It’s the BEST period!
Needs more work
I have two issues: 1) the only way to get turn by turn on my Apple Watch seems to be to press the record button on the app (the only button on the watch). But this caused the watch to record a duplicate ride in my library. 2) when I’m off route the app will just keep complaining but is not smart enough to get me back onto the route like any other navigator would do.
Explore now working
Apparently it was a short term problem. The developer was kind enough to contact me. Bumped rating up to 5 star. PRIOR COMMENT-Until a couple days ago using the free version of the app I could use the Explore function to see existing rides. That is not available now. I was all set to purchase the upgrade but now am concerned.
Ascend Armenia 2023 and 24
RWGPS has guided us here in Armenia, through 2 Ultra Self Supported Races with hands on support every step of the way. My Son, Stephen Fitzgerald (founder Rodeo Labs) and I embarked on creating a race not fully realizing what we were getting into. I personally spent 2 years and 10000 miles of mostly offroad travel discovering and vetting track for the race with RIDE WITH GPS by my side. I am 70+ years old and my life was rejuvenated in the untamed highlands of the Caucus Mountains where only seasonal shepherds dwelt. But 2 RACE tracks were formed of 1100 kilometers plus passing through over 120 Villages and towns with much wild and remote TERRAIN in between. Before and During the Races RIDE WITH GPS WAS WITH US!! Unfortunately 2025 will not be happening due to lack of financial resources this year but we will be using all the track information to support Bikepackers in Armenia with perhaps some Tours offered. Thank You RWGPS. Perhaps a 2026 Race?
I hate this app
Waste of money. Won’t sync with my apple health or fitness apps and won’t mirror my ride on my ultra 2. I won’t be renewing my subscription.
Essential cycling app
I wouldn’t know where to ride my bike without it
Great aop, but doesn’t work when needed
Send to my Garmin fails 60% of the time with iPhone 14Pro and Garmin 1040.
Not free - Forced subscription, fails minimum basics
It says it’s free but you can upgrade, but you cannot proceed unless you agree to a hefty annual subscription. Furthermore, it fails the number one basic minimum of a GPS navigation app: it doesn’t keep your screen on. So you are forced to keep touching it while you are riding. Apple health will tell you where you went and how far out was for free, this app serves no purpose but will charge you a hefty annual fee to give you nothing you don’t already have
The mapping app I keep coming back to.
I have tried and regularly use a wide variety of route mapping applications. I keep coming back to Ride with GPS because it's the fastest way for me to accomplish what I need.
