Screen black-out needed
Needs a simple option to set ‘screen off’ (or black-out) whilst recording video. Also, a map display on video playback is needed, otherwise what’s the point in recording location with the video if you can’t then review it?

Roadly - dash cam app created to help drivers every day. It works as a car camera, as a smart assistant recognizing traffic signs and warning you to avoid traffic violations and as a speed camera notifier.

ATTENTION!
Dash cam app needs to be constantly connected to car charger, it uses all functions of smartphone.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Try to direct air cooling system of your car on device to avoid overheating (long camera usage heats phone a lot).
Current version supports only these signs:
• Yeld (Give Way)
• Speed Limit
• No passing
• No parking
• No waiting
• Crosswalk
• Crossroads limits
• Danger signs
Other signs will be added soon
NOTE: while testing in front PC image can be blurred because focus distanse is infinite (to avoid focusing raindrops on windshield).

Simple but intuitive
Used for the 1st time today so can only comment about the ‘normal’ use (no incidents thankfully). The screen is clutter free but still shows speed in kph (but does not show what scale!). The sign recognition works well and even warns over speed bumps, road narrows etc. The only thing I would wish for is to be able to change the zoom level - this seems a common weakness for Dash Cam apps though…

It was brilliant until I upgraded to premium version, now the app has failed to open. I strongly recommend this but DO NOT upgrade
MPH Settings
One of the best dashcam apps but although it now supports MPH it still has KPH on the video stamp. Really needs a separate measurement units setting
Great but
Great app, does exactly what i need and runs smoothly on ipod touch, only issue is that it doesnt stamp the video with time or date, there is a option in settings but still doesnt stamp the video, if it did this would get 5stars and full recommendation.
Need update
Not been updated for 12 months, which is a real shame as I switched to this app after support for Witness stopped. This has been a great app and I like the way it works with the option to switch between cam and map. Needs to be updated to include MPH and it also crashes frequently. Not such a big issue but the lack of multi-tasking means if you get a call or message, it stops recording. Also, can't listen to music from the phone when the app is running, even with audio recording turned off. These little fixes would get a 5th star from me.
Almost
It just needs a mph option. I have been trying them all (dash cams) since my witness app is no longer supported. I think I like this one best. Mph though. That is a serious oversight when there has been so much work on getting the rest to work.
Would be 5 ⭐️ but....
Like others have said, there needs to be an option for mph. Other than that I can't fault it, loving the exposure setting, this lets a lot of other dash cam apps down.
Has a lot of potential
Good app, could be very good with a few minor updates. Road sign recognition works well but there needs to be an option to select Mph instead of Kph as the app constantly tells me off for speeding when It picks up a 30mph sign and I'm travelling at 40kph.
