How much does RPG Sounds cost?
RPG Sounds has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is €12.42.
The app itself is great, nice and configurable. However, the music pieces are often very short and not so great. Plus, the very big problem, they don’t loop well. So for the short ones, you get a few seconds of music, an audible cut, and it loops. That’s not great at all. The music samples should at least last 1min and at the very least crossfade for a few seconds while looping. What would be ideal would be to make the music ends so that it loops seemlessly.
After paying the 13€ premium to unlock the paid app, it’d be nice to have some usable music in the app, and then I’ll give it the 5 stars it deserves.
Love it!
Such a great idea and adds lots to the game
Definitely better!
Hey guys, any chance we could make the volume slider longer? A bit closer to how it was before?
12/10, been using it for years
I’ve been using this app for close to 3 years now. The ability to mix and match sounds, and even import your own, AND control the volume of each track is amazing.
I made most of the music for my campaign, and being able to import it was invaluable to setting the theme for the whole campaign—having variations of the villain’s theme ready at the drop of a hat, while ominous thunder rolls in the background lowly, super cool.
Definitely one of the best purchases for GMs.
FEATURE REQUEST: One thing i would love (I have no idea how hard it is to implement) is to be able to save the volume levels when you save a scene. Sometimes, for example, the ambient noise is a bit loud and overshadows the music. It would be nice to save, the scene but have it so that the crowd sounds or whatever aren’t as much of a jumpscare.
Hahahaha monthly subscription service
No, just no
Awesome
I love using this in my dnd games
As a DM it allows me to set and control the easily.
Just what I needed
I was to DM our campaign, the first time DM’ing and the second time playing a ttrpg, and this was a godsend.
Great customer service
I’ve had a great experience with this app so far and I’ve used it as a portable soundboard for several sessions of RPGs with my friends. Overall the user interface and controls are extremely user friendly and intuitive. I was about to easily load custom sounds on through my computer.
After the most recent update several of the custom sounds I was using started looping and I sent a email to customer support. They responded almost immediately with potential solutions and helped me troubleshoot the problem.
Newish DM
I DM for young children as part of my job, and have been struggling for some time now to keep them engaged. The ambiance from this app is incredible and is perfect for keeping the action steady and the drama heavy.
As a DM for 3 years
This is honestly one of the best apps I have ever used. Its easy to navigate and has most things that a Gm could want. I have been using the free version so a little under 2 years and recently decided I would buy the pro. It was very much worth the money. Multiple sounds and atmospheres is fantastic and the addition to add custom sounds is great though it is not that easy. The instructions could use some updating. Anyone who reads this I would highly recommend you use the free version for as long as you like and to see if you would like to invest. To the developers I would ask that you add some more battle sounds; wardrums, horns, and chants would be a great start.
