This is the worst system in the world do not buy
Savant crashes all the time. Very frustrating.
They said Savant works great… they said it would make my life better…. They said I could control my sound system from my phone. What has happened… is this rarely works. I can’t even play music. Trying to get help is like I’m out in an ice storm in the middle of Siberia. Not worth it at all.
Latest upgrade (11.0)completely useless. Can’t turn on music, tv, or anything else. Previous version was ok.
Just ok system
This system is the worst. All updates must be through whom you purchased it from a service fee price of $150. The updates should automatically be sent to the apps without any question there’s something that needs to be done about this.
It’s very painful sometimes and there is no voice interface
My phone can do most of these things that I need savant to do. Plus, the volume control on the tv portion is tiny and hard to control. Wouldn’t get this again in my next house.
If I just want to listen to the radio (which is my main listening), I have to go through multiple steps to find and select a channel IF it’s listed, rather than tuning in easily or channel surfing. I have to select rooms every single time I open the app (annoying). The app puts show episodes I’ve already played at top bar visual, with no identifying info on what episode or date which takes more effort, and sometimes they repeat in the playlist too. Let’s say I just want to listen to the news on NPR or BBC radio, I have to go through at least four steps to get there, and then it’s just partial podcasts. Way easier to just use a phone or computer (or an old school AV set up!). This is such an irritating app and not logically set up — designed for only a specific type of user, but holds users of Best Buy hostage because it’s the only thing we can use to use our equipment. Profoundly frustrating.
