SBI Secure OTP is an OTP generation App for verifying or authenticating online banking transactions done through SBI Internet Banking and Yono Lite SBI App.
Customer can generate Online OTP through this app with Internet connection.
One time registration with your INB credentials is required for using the App. Service provider independent, hassle free OTP service is now available to you.

Registration process:
- Download and open SBI Secure OTP app, enter username and select SIM 1 or SIM 2 to register SBI Secure OTP application. No SIM selection required in case of single SIM. User should have SIM Card to send out the messages.
- A message will be shown on the screen regarding sending an SMS from the device for validating mobile number.
- Click on ‘Proceed’ button and an SMS containing a unique code will be sent from the device to a pre-defined Number. Kindly note that for sending the SMS standard SMS charges are applicable as per your SMS plan.
- Enter password and click on ‘Proceed’. Accept the Terms & Conditions for registration by selecting the check box and click ‘Ok’ button.
- An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP received and after OTP validation, user will be asked to set the MPIN for SBI Secure OTP app.
- After that an activation code will be sent to the registered mobile number. This activation code is valid for 10 minutes.
- User has to complete the activation by login to OnlineSBI.
Activation Process at OnlineSBI:
- Login to OnlineSBI, go to profile section and click on Activate Secure OTP link.
- Enter the activation code received.
- User registration to SecureOTP app will be completed after successful validation of activation code.
- Please note that mode of OTP authentication for Internet Banking/Yono Lite will changed to State Bank Secure OTP. User will no longer receive OTP over SMS.
- Login to SBI Secure OTP application using MPIN.
Note: Ensure the same SIM is in place for sending the registration SMS and completing the registration.

Horrible app

this app has been the worst nightmare of my life especially this bank. I will never recommend to go to SBI. I would rather pay extra and go to private banks such as iCICI bank. At least they get your job done. This app just doesn’t work.

I would give it 0 stars if I could

This is a pathetic app! It only sends OTP to your registered mobile and if you don’t have accessibility to your sim then you are screwed! The bank is not able to update to an international phone number! Bank staff are not trained and Ill informed and in general rude and inefficient. Very sad state of affairs for one of the largest Indian banks! No help from online support staff either! Bottom line no one cares for your business as a customer! Originally OTP could be received on email but that has stopped for “security reasons”???? Why is your phone more secure than email?

This is just so wrong!!

A very unhappy customer, first SMS to NRI was not coming. To avoid the hassle somehow managed to get registered for OTP app. Now OTP app keeps forcing to send SMS when app has not been used for sometime or after an update to re-register costing money to send SMS and then having to wait with several failures to register 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Can we quickly rectify this situation?

Worst app in the App Store

Thevudiya pasangala This is one of the worst app in the App Store ,same like their bank in India . I don’t know why the heck they have an app for their customers, issues after every single update ,dear developer of this app please experience the other banking apps before you work on something! It makes me feel like I live in 1985 !

Roll back older version

Focus on improving things for customers rather making it complicated. Already it was very secure. No clue why you forced this change on customers. Roll back the older version for login to SBI account without OTP.

Who cares

Is there anyone looking into fixing this pathetic app. Terrible example of a government operated system. You guys should be ashamed of this service and learn from other banks

It was better before the update

I can’t do anything with my account now. As i was already registered and you guys are asking me to registering again. Plus i am international which is not acceptable for the new registration process. Please fix it.
