Can you imagine a message app with no search feature? I know one. It is this one

On iPhone 15 pro max with latest iOS and app version. It never remembers my login details and have to pick the school and password every time. Just makes the app a complete chore to use.

Just as bad as you would expect from the other bad reviews. The main problem is the lag time and the developers apparent disinterest in updating it. Parents are constantly having to delete it reinstall it resetting the password can only be done via the School. It makes it extremely inconvenient. There are other problems I could go into if I had some more hours to write this review. a terrible solution for schools strongly recommend no schools bother with this terrible app.

Terrible functionality just doesn’t work on an older iPhone. I cannot communicate with my sons school through this app at all. Any attempt to retrieve information is greeted with a blue spinning wheel, any attempt to pay for activities brings ups text box which just freezes.

My submit button does not work for messages and not cannot log in because it does not bring up the list of schools! App does not run effectively with new iPhone 15. No longer receive notifications and cannot navigate in app to read consecutive messages!

As in righting this, SP has been down all day. It’s very poor generally. No search, no way to mark things as read or archive them.

Never seen a worse app than this. Constant problems with viewing and making payments. You have to delete the app and reinstall every now and then to make a payment

How can a communication app have no way for the user to search messages for keywords etc. We get hundreds of messages from school and have to scroll through reading and guessing from subject titles which message it is. Also the ability to delete old messages would come in handy. This would be great if the people receiving the messages could search, filter & delete messages.

Used to be usable, though the UI was not very intuitive Now a multitude of issues following a recent update I have to log-in every time I open the App and select the school (phone will not remember login so I have to type it out in full every time) Tells me when logging in to create a 4-digit inactivity PIN. When I try to do this it will not accept the confirmation entry of my PIN (I honestly can remember 4 numbers I just entered!) and the only way out of that screen is to close the App and start again Now I can’t open pdf attachments from the App, so can no longer read the school newsletter Nothing to prevent my partner and I accidentally paying for the same event for the same child twice, so the school gets a double payment Honestly, I only use this App because the school insists on using this service. Wouldn’t choose to use it, and it has definitely deteriorated rather than improved

The payment system is dreadful, it freezes and makes it impossible to pay all the time. Messages get deleted randomly which might still be needed for information. Yet it’s impossible to delete messages you no longer need, making it hard to find important info in a sea of messages. It’s not possible to star messages. For some reason there are two message threads so you have to switch back and forth trying to find what you need. You have to remember to check the app for messages instead of just having them emailed to you. It’s not practical for busy parents to have to remember to check another app every day. If you are a school considering getting School Ping please don’t! There are much better systems out there.
