SM8 is a really good system and works well for us. Sometimes it can be hard to get it to do what you want. They keep updating it for the better so I would say go for it.
Drops in and out very frequently, maps are next to useless
Every few weeks it stops working on my phone and/or my iPad. Or both at the same time. Then it takes hours to get back on. Or it downloads and gets added to my home screen, but then it won’t open so I have to uninstall and reinstall over and over again 10 1520 times and it doesn’t open. No exaggeration. And it’s the same thing this morning, what is with this app?!!!
Well, it’s been over a year since I started using ServiceM8, and it is pretty good,Bear in mind that on ServiceM8 update 12, I imagine by the time now on 24, this is the most used business software and the tradesmen like my self would use . There are so many features on it. I don’t think I’ve even managed to look at them all on but definitely awesome day of care and well it will just save you time on the subscription you pay for using it I really like it anyway it’s definitely worth a free trial.
The photos are saving for eternity and blocking view of the app and then the inbox never updates there’s no manual refresh
I have been using servicem8 since not long after they started. At the time they were the best option and have built upon the system continually. Servicem8 is without a doubt the market leader here bringing powerful job control to small businesses that when used right makes it a game changer. From engineer en route alerts to full invoice integration no other job management systems even come close for how extensive it is. I have rolled out servicem8 to several of my businesses and I couldn’t imaging going back to a poor setup. From quote to invoice, there no better system out there.
Really you need to spend more time on that, get that right and this app could go far
This app was the perfect tool for me as a self employed business owner. Recently however certain functions have stopped working. I have several technical help tickets that are now over two months old. No updates are forthcoming and the company are now ignoring all of my communications and requests for updates.
Started off well for 1 week. Had around 15 clients on our test run. Then it suddenly dropped off. We had a client message us to ask what’s going on as she’s filled in the form and made the payment which has come out of her account. We looked on serviceM8 and nothing. No details at-all. We then looked at stripe and could see a large number of payments spreading out 6 to 7 days. They are customers that have filed in the form with there details, made payments and will be expecting us to arrival. How are we supposed to arrive when we have no details? No names, addresses or contact info? No notification. We contacted support and IAN who is rude as hell and has no idea what’s going on, completely ignored our email that explains the problem and insisted on us sending the clients log number! How are we supposed to do that when it’s no recording it? His then asked for screenshots of the stripe payment information which we did thinking his now listing.. but no.. his gone on to explain we have to wait 3/5 working day to receive the payment! 1. that does not answer our question 2. We turn over 250k a year and well aware of how a payment provider works. The issue is you are letting people fill on the booking form, make payment and then not passing on the details. We have had to refund everything and will now be expecting a flood of bad reviews! Look elsewhere
