Good app but fails to use screen space efficiently

Xero Me is a self service employee tool that helps small businesses reduce the time spent gathering and fielding requests.
Save time on expense management by empowering your employees to self-serve work admin tasks.
To log in to Xero Me you must be granted permission by your employer. Access to Expenses requires a Xero Expenses subscription and access permission granted by your employer.
Check with your employer if you are having trouble logging in.
Note. You will only have access to mobile features your organisation has enabled, based on your role (not all mobile features may be available to you).

- Capture cost as they happen: scan and submit expenses, company card and mileage claim, anytime, anywhere.
- Automatic receipt transcription: Details are scanned from your photo receipt to auto fill the expense claim.
- Track your mileage: use the map in Xero Me or select from recent locations to accurately enter, track and submit mileage claims to get reimbursed faster.
- Submit expense claims in any currency: make it easier to keep track of actual costs and maintain accurate records.
- With approver permissions, review and approve expense claims on the go.
- With admin permissions, setup receipt analysis, claim accounts, team roles and bank accounts.

Would be 5, if a small change was made
Get app, makes submitting expenses so easy. Love the assess receipts feature where it pulls the details off the document. Misses one star because there is no total for expenses, either in draft, submitted or paid. If this could be added it would get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
No miles in mileage only kilometres now!
Updated yesterday and ‘miles’ has gone and only kilometres in mileage claim area.
Why change something that was working perfectly???
Can’t believe they took an app that worked so reliably, had a great interface and threw it all away for this rubbish update! It’s such a frustrating experience - and now that they’ve ditched the original version we’re stuck with this! How could you get something so wrong???
Needs an update
We have been using this app along side the expenses app, it was good because it let employees add time and stuff The expenses app was good because it allowed me to view other people’s submitted expenses from my phone. Now that app has been retired and there is no way for me to approve or review or even look at other people’s expenses with out using the actual website which is not very mobile friendly
Feels like spyware
For your privacy iOS lets you limit access to your gallery. I use this with other expensing apps so that I only share my receipts. This app FORCES you to give full access to your gallery, otherwise it disables uploading photos. Feels invasive and a breach of my privacy for no good reason. Please change this. Aside from that, the app is well designed and fluid. A pretty darn good experience overall.
Almost perfect.
App is so easy to use. The analysis of receipts is a great time saver. The only request I would make is to have a running total of draft expenses on the app.

Constant price increases
Do NOT buy Xero: I guarantee you will regret it. They have had massive price increases 4 times in 2 years. This is complete market abuse of a captive customer audience. Do NOT make the mistake of buying this: loads of great alternatives with good functionality.
Awful app design
Absolutely pointless extras, I just want to sign in and view payslips but stuck with a “add two factor authentication” I don’t care about security, if someone wants to hack the account all they can do is view payslips. Sort your app out for Christ sake.
