Great app, often produces better results than the super expensive ones.
While this says free in the App Store, only the first six days are free. After that it’s paid and quite expensive. As far as the app itself is concerned, if you’re a percussionist/drummer, forget it. It can’t playback more than one drum at a time, doesn’t recognise hi hat, cymbals, rolls, accents, ghost notes, flams or drags. And probably a lot more.
Amazing!! Reads music perfectly!!! Only thing it could work on is looking at the handwritten parts too. That would help ALOT. Otherwise, this is an amazing app with heaps of different instruments to choose from and I would defined recommend this to anyone starting out with music. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The app doesn’t read the music correctly at all. Don’t waste your money and this app is not refundable.
If this app was free it would be the type of app I would delete in like 2 weeks- but it’s not and its $7.99. It can’t scan some basic sheet music, it can’t register double accidentals (which is listed in the limitations so im less fussed about that), you can’t mix the sound levels or transpose (the score, it can transpose the audio) but what really ticks me off is that when I convert the sheet music to XML, it has no lyrics or chords, and for PDF, the quality is abysmal. As a music student, having to transcribe the chords and lyrics again in my music notation software is a complete waste of time. It’s also advertised as a scanner, but has no options for scanning the sheet music taken from a photo such as cropping, greyscale, etc. For this price, at least a few of these features should be guaranteed and also perform at a medium-high standard. Currently looking at other options, and hopefully they issue refunds.
I love the app I am just sad that you can’t convert music Into letters
Like other reviewers have mentioned, money well spent! Scan scores and be able to read straight away if that is the version that user wants to learn from. Or find an obscure music sheet and figure out immediately which melody it belongs to. Score can be saved, shared and/or uploaded to various formats including MIDI to allow for mixing and further tweaking to compositions. Still learning its features at the moment, and am sure it will have even more amazing attributes.
Misses notes and repeats and also tricky to capture sheet music. It wasn’t made clear that you cannot screenshot from a computer screen. Only screenshot from hard copies. Disappointed.
Only recognize like 80% correctly
This is great - It read my PDF sheet music great and wow it’s a life saver it’s almost perfect. The only thing is instead of a on/off switch for the Multiple voices, I wish that it was more customisable, I’m in a choir and I would like to adjust it so you can turn off/turn down some of the other voices and instrumentals. i.e. on a slider for each line: Line 1 (sopranos), Line 3(tenor) and Line 4(base) at half volume, Line 2 (alto) at full volume and Lines 5 & 6 instrumentals at about 1/3. If you get what I mean, it makes it easier to learn against other lines while still hearing your part the most until you have it 100% and then you can turn everything up to 100%. Anyway great app, well worth the money!
