I bought this app based on the hype created by online reviewers … however immediately discovered the amount of apps I can use full screen are very limited and half of which don’t seem to work on my iPad at all … feel like I have been conned and feel the only decent thing for the developed / Apple to do is to refund my money!

I feel ripped off for paying for an application that promised so many features that are not functioning…… this application should not be released and sold as if it were complete…… Highly disappointed and frustrated.

Dear Developer, Please disclose the VERY FEW apps that are actually compatible in this app. Also, i just paid for this app now to be able to use Excel and Word on my second display, like you promised ability to do, however Word and Excel are not working. Absolute Waste of money.

What is built here is almost exactly what I desperately want my iPad Pro to be! It's incredible to see my fully extended screen with multiple desktops and windows in split view. The interface is so great it resembles a entirely new OS and reminds me of Samsung’s Dex - Its truly mind blowing, especially after I changed the background of my extended display to the Monterey wallpaper. There are issues with split screen, the biggest being the cursor speed varies depending on the split view window size that makes things tricky to navigate at first. Video playback also takes getting used to in split screen. It’s nevertheless a joy to use and this app changes the way I use my ipad on a desktop.

The first thing that needs to be mentioned is that this app will NOT let you launch native apps. No photo/video editing apps, no messages, etc.. You can only use things you can go to on a website. That being said, what it can do it does really well. It’s in this awkward spot of doing the best they can do with Apple’s limitations, but it’s still not good enough (for me).

app hasn’t been updated since 2021. Nothing works anymore

I wanted to use this app for multitasking while plugged into a monitor and I was annoyed when this app wouldn’t let me open Word. The app shows Word as one of the supported apps but it is grayed out. Also I was highly disappointed that you couldn’t use any app that you have downloaded. Better off just using the an iPad via HDMI with the regular resolution then this app. Cool concept but not quite there yet. Maybe this app will be better in the future but right now at $8 it is not worth it at all.

I think that some who have reviewed this app have been overly critical. It works well within its intended parameters and can be quite useful if used as intended. I work with Chromebooks quite a bit, and Shiftscreen works in much the same way. It allows one to have multiple browser windows open and running web apps. The browser windows can be resized and moved around the screen, and can be arranged in any way desired. I have a iPad Mini 5 and an iPad Air2. Both run ShiftScreen well. Neither has direct monitor support, so I use Airplay and a Roku. I have used several Roku devices and several TV sets and monitors, and all have worked. I also use a bluetooth mouse and keyboard to complete my set up, and everything plays well together. I have experienced a few glitches. I have learned to close any apps running on my iPad that don't need to be open, as it is easy to overload my relatively old iPads. Windows can only be resized from the right hand top corner of the window, which can be a bit awkward. When I use ShiftScreen without a monitor, just on the iPad screen, one is reminded that even the screen on the Air is awfully small! I have learned that ShiftScreen works best if the iPad is not in split screen mode and it is the only app running, although that is mostly a matter of my mouse maneuvering skills, and it might not be an issue for anyone else. Maybe I am just lucky, but I personally have found ShiftScreen to be a very useful and usable app. If one already has an iPad, a monitor, and a Roku or similar device (and ideally a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse), and if you want to have multiple web apps running in multiple windows, ScreenShift is well worth its minimal price tag.

I got this app yesterday and basically couldn’t sleep thinking about how great this app was I almost got a iPad Pro for the full screen feature but I kept my iPad Air 4th generation and it worked full screen and great. Great work with the app.

I believed the hype of a paid YouTube blogger.. shame on me. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!
