Skip if you have an ipad mini

When you try to open a lot of the menus, the layout glitches and puts the menu off the top of the screen making it impossible to use. It’s bad if you have a free account but if you paid for the service this would be grounds for a refund.

Shame about the new design

This had so much potential but the new design has just made the app feel and look clunky. Last few design updates have been straight up a frustration to use

Sloooowww VERY Slow.

Forever waiting when opening the App. Have to quickly go back to Gmail. This is simply unworkable:

Spiritual successor to Mailbox and Inbox

Lovely to look at and use, simple and uncluttered and feels light. Lacking a few features at the minute but still outshines the rest for me.

Simplistic, but do not update

Just came here to say the new update is rubbish, I used to effortlessly swipe to mark an email as done and now it’s a 2-step process to differentiate between deleting and archiving. Frustrating for what is an otherwise great simplistic email app. Still can’t send attachments though.

Can’t delete emails

If I can’t delete emails I can’t use Shortwave as my email app. A basic feature, sadly missing.

So… where’s the settings page?

The app makes several references to a settings page or section within the app. After a lot of poking around, I’m still unable to find this settings page. Helpfully, if you Google “shortwave app settings page”, the first result takes you to a help page on the Shortwave app’s website… which doesn’t exist.

Dire and useless

I hate to have to write this, but it is true. The app has the potential of being great, but I don’t think the creators have put much thought into it. Simplicity is important, but one of the vital elements is the ability to delete emails. Why did you think this was an unnecessary function? If the option to delete is included, I would be happy to reinstall the app.

Can’t delete email

Looks good but I like to be able to remove emails I no longer need and there doesn’t seem to be any way to do this.

No labels, can’t delete emails?!

Great, a better gmail client! Except of course, it doesn’t have the ability delete emails or use labels. Well, it has at least the latter according to the guide on the website, I guess they just didn’t implement it in the mobile app?
